Thought I'd throw you off today and post a Fall card instead of a Halloween card. Ha! This was what I was working on Wednesday and I finished it and I luuuuuv it!!
I used my "new to me" MME papers and the leaves I picked up at Michael's the other day. The flower is a die from Papertrey Ink. I made that flower ages ago and it was the perfect color for this card :)
I'm so happy it's Friday, so happy this crazy week is over, I can't even tell you! I hope you all have the best weekend ever! See you soon and thanks for stopping by!!

One more Halloween card. Well, for now.
Can you believe it's Thursday? I'm so glad, we've had such a busy week so I'm thrilled that it's weekend eve :)
Today I'm going to share one last Halloween card with you. For now. I've been on such a fall/Halloween kick that I'm sure there will be more to come!
I think this one is my favorite! I love that little owl ghost, he's always been a favorite of mine. How about that stripey Halloween paper? So fun!!
Here's to a fantastic Thursday my friends! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow :)

More fall/Halloween.
Happy Tuesday everyone! Even though it's a bit warmer here today, I'm still in the fall mood!
I bought a K & Company paper pad and I think the pieces were 4x6 3/4. Well, I trimmed them down to 4x6 1/2 and then scored it at the 3 1/4 mark. It makes for a cute little card. This particular piece I must have pushed a little too hard on and the paper tore. I fixed that right up by adding some washi binding. After rounding the corners, it sort of made it look like a little book, right? Kind of makes me want to make a little Halloween book :)
Are you working on any Halloween or fall cards yet? I really think they are my favorite projects. I just love this time of year :) We have Abie's first set of volleyball games tonight, getting right back into the swing of things. Hope you have a great Tuesday and I'll see you back here tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today.

Feeling Fall!
So the weather got really cool this weekend here, and it was absolutely wonderful! I was definitely feeling fall :) I picked up a few new goodies at the store and got some crafty time in. Everything I created was fall or Halloween related.
About a year ago I made several Halloween themed embellies, not sure when or where I was going to use them. A year late I still hadn't used them. I was looking at the new Halloween paper I had picked up and really just cut the card to size and added the embellie to it. So quick and easy! I guess now I need to make some more embellies!! :)
Did you have a good weekend? Mike and I got our date night in and it was so fantastic!!!!! Much needed, I'll tell you that. When you have kids, and life is so busy, you sometimes take for granted those moments alone with each other. It was wonderful to eat a meal without being interrupted and being able to order without having to look at the kiddie menu!
I hope you have a great Monday and I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Broken bus tag, fixed!
Hey there! So, unbelievably happy that it's Friday! I can't even tell you :) It's been such a rough week here. Well, three weeks actually. Glad it's over today.
Last night the neighbor came cover and had found Landry's bus card in his driveway.
It clips onto her backpack and has all her important information on the back. Like name, teacher and bus number. It's as much for her as it is for the teachers, to make sure she doesn't get lost :) So...kind of important.
What's a crafty mom to do? Craft a newer, cuter one of course!!
I used my Doodlecharms cartridge and cut out a 2 1/4 bus in black. The the topper for it in gold. To add a little shimmer, I put some black glitter on the wheels! The paper I used is two sided. There are kids playing on the front and the back side is perfect because it has the dashed lines for writing. I was able to write all of Landry's information on it. Problem solved :)
Mike and I are hoping to have a date night tomorrow night, but we haven't heard back yet about the babysitter... I'm hoping though! Hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a fantastic weekend!! Thanks for stopping by today, I really appreciate you guys :)

What's on my desk, on Thursday.
I know I usually play along with JULIA'S BLOG on Wednesday, but I was so busy yesterday I didn't get a chance to post! So, I'm going to post what I have on my desk today, Thursday :)
This is the remnants from my banner. I didn't get to use the black glitter, which I really wanted to use. My plan is to leave all of the fall themed items out and maybe make some cards or things! I think I'll feel more inspired if I have this stuff out. In the background is Landry's side of the girl's craft desk. That always makes me smile :)
That's about it it. I'm hoping I can get some crafting done tonight after work, but it's grocery night so we'll see. I'm so glad it's Thursday, this has been a crazy week! How do you fit crafting into a crazy schedule? Thanks for stopping by today and I'm hoping to be back tomorrow!! Have a fun Thursday!

Fall Banner
I was going to hang this on the front door, but then, on my way to the front door, I saw the china cabinet and thought this would look really cute hanging there.
I used lots of old product on this and still love how it turned out. Who says old product can't look good? :)
Have you made any fall decorations or gotten yours out yet? We got all of our stuff out on Sunday and it really has me excited for the fall weather and all that comes with it.
We have a busy couple of days ahead of us. Skate night tonight and volleyball tomorrow night. We're just grazing the surface of the busy time of year for us. I'm trying to not feel the pressure :) Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday and I'll see you all tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by today!

So I got a tattoo...
Yep, I did. You know how Mike and I had the day off together on Friday? Well we had appointments at noon to get tattoos. My first, his eighth. Yes, I said eighth :)
I've always looked at tattoos as a way for someone to express themselves, outwardly and openly. The process of tattooing is really interesting too. The tattoo artist is just that, an artist. They are crafters, just like us!
Over the last ten years or so, I knew I wanted a tattoo and I knew I wanted it to be something that represented Mike and what he means to me. Placement was important to me as well. So this first tattoo has been in the making for quite awhile. Over the last year I finally decided I wanted the tattoo behind my right ear. Now to just figure out what I wanted it to be. After much deliberation this is what I came up with...
The anchor is a traditional tattoo that a lot of people get to represent their spouse or partner. For me it represents the strength and security in our relationship. Mike makes me feel safe, and grounded :) kind of like an anchor. (excuse the greasy stuff in my hair, that's the stuff you put on the tattoo to keep it moist after you get it)
Now here's a picture of Mike's. He already had the G and the stars on this arm. He had the sugar skulls and foliage added. This is the front view of his arm.
This is the back side of his arm. He's going back in a couple of months to have a little touch up done on this.
Now, I'll tell you, it didn't hurt. It burned. When he got up on the bone, it was uncomfortable, but that was about it. Maybe it was because of where I got it? I don't know. It's only the first one, maybe getting one in a different spot would hurt? Ha!
So, that's it for today. My tattoo story :) Hope you enjoyed seeing the pics. Thanks for stopping by today! I'll see you soon!!

Project Life Week 35
Good morning and happy Friday :) I took today off, Mike has been on vacation all week and we get to spend the day together today. Super excited about that!
Today I want to share with you Week 35 of Project Life.
More words and pictures this week. But that's what got this done :) and what made me remember what I loved about this project :)
I had an insert this week. We went to a, sort of festival and I had extra pictures. Perfect for the 6x12 insert.
On the back side I was able to add a good note Landry received from her teacher :) Something that may or may not have made it into her regular scrapbook.
Do you have anything planned for the weekend? We're thinking about heading down to the City Market tomorrow or taking the girls to the college town where Mike and met. Maybe showing them our school and some of our favorite places. It's going to be beautiful here, so we'll see where we end up!
I hope you have a lovely Friday and an absolutely fantastic weekend! I'll see you all soon. Thank you so much for stopping by :)

3x3s
So it's turned out that Landry really, REALLY likes taking her lunch to school. You remember when I made those 3x3 cards over the summer to build up my stash? Well I've already run through those, plus some I had from last year!
Time to make some more!!
I used scrap 6x6, double sided papers, and then just embellished. These came together so quickly, which was just what I needed. Even though Landry can't read ALL the words yet, she loves getting these little notes in her lunchbox :)
Happy Thursday friends, thanks for popping in today and I'll see you back here tomorrow! Have a beautiful day.

WOYWW
Happy Wednesday!! What's on your workdesk today? I'm linking up over at JULIA'S BLOG today to share what I'm working on.
I took this first picture, of a fall banner I'm working on. I had cut out the base pieces and thought I was done and then I went a bit further...
I pulled out some of the fun fall items I plan on using on my banner! Now this might be the state of my desk for the next few weeks. I have no idea how long this banner will take me to make. Haha!
Hope you have a great Wednesday! I have to work late tonight and Abie starts volleyball back up! I'll see you tomorrow!! Thanks for stopping by.

Project Life Weeks 31 and 32
Good Tuesday morning! Remember last week when I told you I carried up a basket of crafting goodies to work on? Well I finally got to work on Friday night and got caught up on the last few weeks of Project Life.
Today I'm going to share weeks 31 and 32.
These two weeks were pretty basic. Just pictures and words.
I was so glad I had kept up with my notes in my calendar. It was a huge life saver during this last bought when I got so far behind. Nothing fancy in these last weeks, but it's a record of our memories from the summer. I love to look at the Project Life albums where people have added all sorts of bits and pieces to their journaling cards and I've tried to make it work in mine, but it's a bit overwhelming to me. I get behind and it makes me want to stop. But when I just stick with pictures and words, I feel like I can do it again. And I want to do it again. And that makes me happy :)

The other birthday card.
Good morning everyone! Today is Mike's birthday, my husband for those of you who don't know :) On Friday I posted the very simple, maybe more mushy card that is just from me. Today I'm posting the slightly more fun, colorful card from the girls.
After I stamped the sentiment, I added the sequins. I had the HARDEST time with the random placement of these dang things. STILL struggling with this :) How do you guys do it? It still looked a bit too plain for me, so I added the twine. Abie wrote the sweetest little paragraph inside for Mike, almost made me cry, almost. Haha! Landry signed her name too :)
We're heading out to dinner tonight and then it's homemade chocolate pie for dessert. Should be a great day and fun evening. I hope you have a beautiful day! Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!!

Mike's birthday card. Well, the first one.
Happy Friday everyone! We've almost made it through the week, and trust me that has been no small feat for me :)
Today I want to share Mike's birthday card with you. His birthday isn't until Monday, but I don't think he reads my blog so we should be good. I went with a super simple sappy kind of a card because I've been feeling pretty sappy lately.
I had the hardest time photographing this dang card! Sorry I'm holding it, but I just couldn't get a good photo against my normal background. Anyway, I used PTI's Gratitude Journal set. I'm really grateful for Mike and what better day to tell him than on his birthday? After I stamped part of the sentiment on the front of the card, it looked WAY to plain, so I jazzed it up with a black rhinestone. Not too feminine, but definitely added a little something.
On the inside, I just added the rest of the sentiment :) So, what do you think? Masculine? Yes or no? Can you have a birthday card without it actually saying happy birthday? I say yes! Haha!
Now I'm in the process of working on a second card for Mike. This one will be a little more fun and it can be from the girls. So I'll have that to share on Monday. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a super fantastic weekend. Thanks so, so much for stopping by today and I'll see you next week!

The other tag.
Thursday, sheesh this week has gone by fast! Today I'm posting the other tag from the dual birthday party we went to on Monday. This one was for the brother :)
I made this with the scraps that were on my desk! Remember how I said I was not feeling creative? This was the first thing I made on Monday and it was so bare bones :) Haha!
Last night I packed a basket of crafty goodies and brought it upstairs to work on. You know what I got done? Nothing :) Hahahahah! It's a start though!
Thanks for peeking in today and I hope you have a great Thursday! See you tomorrow, I'll have Mike's birthday card for you.

WOYWW
Good morning everyone :) Thank you so much for your kind words yesterday about my lack of creativity and posting last week. I know my mojo will come back, I just hope it's sooner rather than later!!
Today I'm linking up over at JULIA'S BLOG to share what I have on my desk today. It's not a lot...
The start of a birthday card for my husband :) the stamp set I'm using for it is to the left and of course my tape runner behind the card. Behind that is a small pile of magazines I need to go through and my makeshift misting box. I know this is going to be a fairly simply card, after all it is masculine. Ha.
Thanks for popping in today. Hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and I'll see you back here tomorrow, with either a finished card (this one) or the other tag from the dual birthday party we attended Monday.

Long time no post, huh?
Hi guys, how ya been? Sorry to go missing on you last week. I had sort of an unplanned blogging vacation. I feel like my creativity has dried up, we had a busy week with things at the girls school and before I knew it, it was Wednesday and then Thursday and then the weekend!
We had a dual birthday party yesterday for some friends of ours and I normally would have had the cards/tags made in advance. But this time I put it off until the morning of the party. The creativity and desire to create just hasn't been there. I had to force myself to go downstairs and make the tags for their gifts. The end results weren't something I was thrilled with, but they were okay :) I haven't felt like this in a long, long time and I'm a little worried, I must say.
Here's the finished tag...
I'm still trying to play with those sequins and trying the random placement thing, but I don't really know if I like how they turned out. I still feel like the tag is missing something. Baby steps to getting back on the horse, right?
I hope you all had a great week last week and a wonderful weekend. I'll be back tomorrow, sharing what I have on my workdesk. Yes, there is a project on it right now :) I feel like the only way to get back to creating is to keep creating. Thanks for hanging in there with me and for stopping by today!
