Project Life week #25

Yay, it's Friday!!! We have no plans this weekend, except for normal, around the house type stuff :). I'm hoping to get to work on a couple of crafty ideas that have been brewing in my head!!

Today I wanted to share with you last week's Project Life.  I only do one 12x12 page per week so that's three photos per week. If I have more photos, from a particular event, I will add in a layout or an insert to include those. This is my third year doing PL and this way works great for me!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!! See you next week!!

Father's day card.

Happy weekend eve!! I hope you are all having a great Thursday!!

Today I wanted to share with you the card I made for my dad, for father's day. He and my mom were out of town on that day, and they got back last Saturday. They stopped by on Monday and I forgot to give this to him!!

I had a lot of fun making this card :) lots of bright colors and I've always been a can of that tricycle stamp!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! See you soon!!

Little love note.

Good morning!! Did you have a good weekend? We sure did! It was busy, hot, fun and went by way to fast!

Last week I whipped up a simple little love note to put in Mike's work bag. But then I forgot and had to slip it into his car instead because he was in the kitchen and I couldn't put it in his bag without him seeing me :)

Thanks for stopping in today!! Have a beautiful Monday!

New (to us) coffe table.

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week.  Things are good here and we're really enjoying our summer :)

You know last July we got Dirk.  He was about 8 months old then and while not a baby, he still had plenty of puppy left in him.  About  a month after we had him, he ripped into our storage ottoman.  Wah wah.  I had grand plans of reupholstering said ottoman, but then started adding up the cost and figured we should just buy a new table for the price of fabric.  I scrapped that plan and decided I would look for a table at a thrift store, that was sturdy, that we could refinish ourselves.  I had a strict budget of $20!

This is what we found a week an a half ago.

It looks pretty rough, right?  But it is super sturdy and it was only $14.96!!!!  Under budget!  That NEVER happens!  We found it at Goodwill, stood and stared at it for awhile, went and ate lunch, talked about it and then went back and bought it.

Then next day, Mike sanded the table and put two coats of white paint all over.

This was just after the first coat of white.  At this point we were planning on adding a glaze, which we've done to the cabinets in our house, but it was too brown.  So Mike said, how about grey?  We ran to Home Depot and bought a $3 sample size of paint and he mixed a little with water, painted it on and then wiped it off to give it a distressed look.

On Monday, Abie and I moved the table into the house.  I don't have a picture of that...  It sat like that until Saturday, nearly finished.  The panels were empty, we knew what we were doing with them, we just didn't have the time to work on them.  So on Saturday, Mike cut the hardboard to size and Abie and I added batting and fabric.

Here is the finished product.

What do you think?  Not too bad for a $15 table from Goodwill!  We already have an idea to change it up when we get tire of this :)

Have you added any new (to you) furniture lately?

Thanks for popping in today!  Have a fab Wednesday and I'll see you soon!

Project Life Week 24

Good morning!! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to celebrate the men in your life yesterday :) Mom and dad are out of town, but I was able to talk to him on the phone.  As for Mike, we went out for brunch yesterday morning and then took it easy the rest of the day.

Today I wanted to share with you my latest Project Life layout. I haven't been sharing them here because I feel like they all look the same. Haha! I, of course, enjoy looking at them, but not sure about you ;)

I hope you have a wonderful Monday and I appreciate the visit. I'm hoping to get a larger post typed up Wednesday, the project Mike and I were working on last week and finally finished Saturday!! Thanks for stopping by!!

    Probably cards.

3. How long have you been blogging?
Maybe five years total, but this blog about three?

4. Would you ever think of running a 1/2 Marathon?
Nope.  Only because Mike has run a full marathon and I've seen the all the training that goes into it and it does not look F-U-N.    But I'm a GREAT cheerleader!

5. What would be the hardest food to stop eating for you?
Coffee.  Hands down.  Does that count as a food?

Washi.  I'm never happy with how I have it organized.

7. What TV series or movie could you watch over and over again?
TV series:  Seinfeld.  Movie:  You've Got Mail :)

Nominate Bloggers:

Okay, total cop out here, but if you want to play along, feel free!  Just make sure you let me know you wrote something up so I can check it out!!

Finally, my seven questions for you:

3.  What was the last craft you made?
4.  Do you wear flip flops?
5.  Have you ever colored your hair?
6.  Do you wear a lot of jewelry?
7.  How often do you do laundry?

How about that for some random questions?  Haha!
