Project Live Week 13

Good Tuesday morning!  I have a super quick post today.  I was able to get caught up on Project Life last week and I'm hoping to share some more of that later in the week, but for today I'm sharing week #13.

This was a very simple week where I took all three pictures at one event!  Made it super easy when it was time for printing :)

We had a great time at the game last night, but it was a late night, for all of us :)  I'm hoping to be in bed much earlier tonight!  Ha!  Thanks for stopping in for the quick post today and I'll see you tomorrow!

Navy and yellow gift tag.

We had a beautiful Sunday after a wash out on Saturday :)  I'm so grateful for the next two days, they're calling for 80 degrees!!! Now, it's going to be cool and rainy again on Wednesday and for the rest of the week, but I'm going to live it up today and tomorrow ;)

My sister's birthday was last Monday and I whipped up this navy and yellow tag to top off her present.

I used one of my MME 6x6 paper pads and some matching grosgrain ribbon.  I love how springy this present looks!  (oh, and my new nail polish!  haha!)

We're headed to the Royals game tonight and I'm excited because of the good weather!  The last few times we've been it's been cold.  I hope you have a wonderful Monday!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll be back tomorrow!

My favorite spring card, but my easiest.

Yay Friday!!!  It's a rainy day again, but I'm so happy it's Friday I don't even care about the rain :)  Today I'm sharing another spring card, my favorite of the recent ones I've made.  The funny thing is, this one was the absolute easiest to make!

Believe it or not, I started out with the card base for this one, because it was already trimmed to size and I like the bright spring green.  Then I found the the journaling card for the inside (see below picture)  After that, I found the bicycle sticker, matched some patterned paper  and after adhering the bicycle with pop dots, I stuck on the other two washi like stickers.

Here's a quick peek of the inside.  I love how quickly this came together! So fun and bright!  Perfect for my recipient :)

Do you have big plans for your weekend, this last Saturday and Sunday of April?  Seriously, how did that happen?  We have a birthday party tomorrow but I think we'll be laying low again.  Trying to get some things done around the house.  I hope you have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend.  I'll see you soon!  Thank for popping in today!

Decorated gift bag.

I'm so happy it's finally Thursday :)  All day yesterday I felt like it was Thursday so I'm thrilled that it's actually today, today.

Last weekend Landry had a birthday party to go to and I lucked out that the gift she picked out for her friend fit in one of those colored gift bags you can find in the gift wrapping section.  It screamed blank canvas to me!!

I knew I wanted to use a doily, but that was the only idea I had.  I flipped through my 6x6 stacks and found that sentiment and then everything else just fell into place :)

I spent the night last night cleaning off my desk and catching up on Project Life.  I've got a fun update next week for you, I can't wait to share!  I hope you have a fantastic Thursday and I'll be back tomorrow with another new card.  Thanks for stopping by today!

WOYWW

It's Wednesday and time for another edition of WOYWW!  Head on over to JULIA'S BLOG and check out all the fun crafty desks!

I've been busy making cards!  All the pressure is off, after making my Rolodexes for my friend :)  So I can create whatever I want now, just for me, just for fun!

I missed the last couple of weeks of WOYWW and I'm so glad to be back at it.  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow with a new card.  Have a fantastic day!

Using some new spring product.

Happy Tuesday!  Today is a gloomy, rainy, cold day here.  So what better way to combat that than with a fun springy card?

I used some of my 6x6 Echo Park paper pad for this one and few fun embellishments.  I picked up that crocheted flower in the $1.50 area at Michael's!

I hope you're having a beautiful sunny day at your house :)  Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow!

A new card.

Did you have a nice weekend?  Ours was fantastic!  It was the first weekend in a long time that we were home both days and I got some things done that I've been putting off, like cleaning out the refrigerator.

Today I have a new card to share with you.

Abie's school testing is coming up this week and this is one of the cards I made for her.  I used a bunch of labels and it came together super quick!

For the inside, I added another label.

Do you have a busy week ahead?  I'm working late Tuesday and have a doctor's appointment on Friday morning, but that's it.  A great week!  :)  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful Monday!

Finished birthday Rolodex!

Good morning and happy Friday everyone!  I'm so happy to tell you that I finally finished all seven of the Rolodexes last night!  I've been working on this project for the last week and half for a friend of mine.  Her philanthropic sorority is having their founder's day party next weekend and she asked if I would volunteer my time/product to make these :)

Here they are, all seven of them, in their Rolodex glory!

I used a mixture of papers, the front card was my new Echo Park 6x6 paper pack.  I also used the Stampin' Up! Rolodex die, which I believe is retired now, but I searched online and found one for sale on Ebay!!

Some of the cards have ribbons and Papertrey Ink tab dies...

While some of the cards are plain with Stampin' Up! Round Tab Punch tabs :)

I packaged them all up in clear celophane bags with some fun polka dot ribbon.

I can't tell you how great it feels to have finished these all up!  After school today the girls and I are going to deliver them :)

Do you have big plans this weekend?  Landry has a birthday party on Saturday and I think we'll be relaxing a bit.  I hope you have a fantastic Friday and a beautiful weekend!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you on Monday!

Instagram photos to blog?

Hey there!  How have you all been?  I feel like it's been years since I posted, but I guess it's just been a little over a week.  Sorry to leave you all like that.  I've been working away on the Rolodexes for my friend and I think they're coming together nicely :)

Let me ask you this.  How do you post your photos from Instagram to your blog?  Is there a trick to it?  Also, what about those pictures you take with the Instagram app, but you don't actually post to Instagram.  Is there a way to get those on your blog?  Always before, with cell phone pics, I would email them to myself and get them to my blog that way, but they always turned out kind of funny looking.  I'm thinking there has to be an easier way.  Any help would be much appreciated!!

Abie had her last volleyball tournament on Saturday and that night Landry started running a fever.  She was all better by Sunday though.  We've had a lot of rain here this week, which is good because I need to be inside finishing up the Rolodex project!

Sorry to not have a picture for you today.  Hopefully I'll be back Friday with some peeks at the project.  Thanks for hanging in there with me and I'll see you soon.  Have a wonderful Thursday!!

Yes, one more masculine card. Can you just stand it?

Hey there!  Can you stand one more masculine card?  Haha!  This one was made for my dad and talk about perfect paper!

With the map, the motorcycle, the Route 66 sign and the wings that say totally cool, it was perfect for my dad :)  I just colored some wood accents and added them to the card and it was finished!  So super easy.  I'm always adding more to my girly cards and maybe that's the trick with the masculine ones, less is more.

I may not be around a lot this week.  I'm working on seven birthday Rolodexes for a friend.  Yes seven.  She needs them for an event as basket stuffers.  I said I would help her out and now I'm down to the wire.  Yikes!  They are going to take up all my crafty time the next couple of weeks until I can get them finished, so if I can post pictures I will.

I'm on Instagram now, thanks to my daughter ;)  You can follow me at beckyg1121  It's another way we can keep up with each other besides Twitter, where I'm also beckyg1121.  Ha!

Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you soon friends :)

Project Life Week 12

Happy Friday friends!  I hope this post finds you well :)  Today I'm sharing week 12 of Project Life.

I love this week because of the pictures :)  oh, and the words too I guess.  Ha!

I haven't worked on PL for the last two weeks, so I need to catch up on that this weekend.  I also have a HUGE project I'm needing to work on for a friend with a quickly approaching deadline.  We're expecting beautiful weather Saturday and I'm sure we'll want to be out in it.

I hope you have a wonderful Friday and an absolutely beautiful weekend!  Thanks for stopping in today and I'll see you next week!

Another masculine card.

Yay for weekend eve!!  Happy Thursday to everyone!  We've made it to the end-ish part of the week, woo hoo!

Today I'm sharing another masculine card, which is really more a boy card because it was for my 8 year old nephew and masculine seems so much more grown up of a word :)

This Simple Stories line has a lot of papers that are collage sheets, made of of squares that aren't quite journaling cards, but can't be used as full sheets either.  So I trimmed a few pieces out and haphazardly strung them across the front of the card.  Voila!  I loved it, after popping a couple up with some foam tape :)

Abie is helping out with kindergarten registration tonight at the school.  I can hardly believe it's her last year in elementary school and that a year ago we were there enrolling Landry for kindergarten! (excuse me while I shed some tears... okay I'm back)  I think Landry and I will run to the grocery store before we pick Abie up tonight and then maybe play outside for awhile.  We're starting to have a few nice days here and there :)

I hope you have a wonderful Thursday and thank you for coming by today.  I'll see you tomorrow!!

WOYWW

Good Wednesday to you!!  I'm linking up over at JULIA'S BLOG today to share a peek at my work space and so are lots of other crafters!

This was how my desk looked after my weekend crafting session and I haven't had a chance to pick up after myself just yet...  I cannot take credit for that beautiful card in the background, that is from my friend TRACY, gorgeous isn't it?  I leave it on my desk because it makes me smile :)

I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday!  Stop by Julia's and check out all the fun desks!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow :)

A very simple thank you card.

Hello there :)  I hope you're having a wonderful day today!!  I needed a very simple thank you card the other day and this was what I came up with.

Red cardstock and black ink.  That's about as basic as you can get, right?  I think, if I would have had more time, I would have heat embossed the sentiment, but it looked pretty good just like that.

We're nearing the end of club volleyball season.  Two more weeks of practices and tournaments then Abie will be off for awhile before summer session starts.  We asked her if she wanted to keep playing or do something different and she said she wants to keep playing :)  I can hardly believe were already talking about summer activities, can you?

Hope you have a beautiful Tuesday and thank you for stopping by today :)  I'll see you tomorrow!!

Masculine cards and anonymous commenters

Good Monday morning to you!  I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend.  We had gorgeous weather here for most of the weekend, and you know how I love to be outside when it's like that!  On Saturday we had our big family birthday, spring, Easter party and I needed three masculine cards.  That is quite the challenge for me.  Thank goodness for my new Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad!  It made making these cards a breeze!

This one was for my oldest nephew, who is now 13!

I love how inside the paper pad there are journaling cards that are the perfect size for cards!  It really made this card come together quickly and I love how masculine these papers are!

Quick question...  Have you guys been getting a lot of anonymous comments on you blog posts?  I've always gotten a couple here and there, but it's been really bad lately and starting to annoy me ;)  I tried doing to comment approval thing, but then I couldn't figure out how to approve my comments, took me forever anyway, and I really DON'T want to put word verification on.  Are those my only two options?  Thanks!!

I hope you had a beautiful weekend and are looking forward to a great week ahead!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow!!
