New filofax dividers.

It's been awhile since I've posted anything planner related. Last weekend I made some new dividers for my Filofax and I LOVE them!!

For my opening page, or dashboard, I picked out a pretty floral paper and then punched out the word love with my new punch :) I covered the word in gold glitter and adhered it to the paper before laminating. Loving the way this turned out!!

For the dividers, I like having the tabs at the top, it's easier for me to flip to the page I need that way.  I picked out three more papers I loved, traced and trimmed then laminated :)

I've also made Christmas dividers, but not quite time for those :)

Hope you have a fab Monday!!

Fall gift card holder.

Good morning and happy Monday!  Did you have a nice weekend?  We had such an awesome weekend, lots and lots of family time :)

Last month my parents came out and stayed with the girls (and the dogs) for us and Mike and I picked up a gift card for them to thank them for their help.  I whipped up a quick little holder for the gift card and added a few little embellishments for it.

I love the cork butterfly!!  Butterflies always seem so springy to me, but just by punching one out in cork, now it seems more fall like!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have an awesome Monday and a fabulous week!!

Thankful book.

The last few years we've tried to do a different project in the month of November to document what we're thankful for, as a family.  This year I decided to decorate a little notebook and each day we each write down what we're thankful for :)

What I love about this notebook is my new punch!!! I saw this punch on someone's Instagram and immediately feel in love and literally ran to Hobby Lobby, with a coupon, and bought one!!

Hope you have an awesome Wednesday!!

Veteran's day.

Happy Tuesday and happy Veteran's Day!

Just a quick post this morning, wanted to share the cards I made for my dad and brother in law. I used the same layout, just switched up the colors.

Hope you have an awesome day!!

Burlap note holder.

So I'm making a rare Saturday appearance here :)  I wanted to link up HERE and share this fun project I've been working on!!

Several weeks ago I saw this adorable wooden burlap plaque at Hobby Lobby and I thought to myself, uh you could SO make that.  I was headed to Walmart after that I found all the supplies I needed for just a few dollars!

Plain wooden picture frame $2
Package of burlap sheets $3 (didn't even know these existed!)
Bull clips $2
Acrylic paint (already had on hand)
Sand paper (already had on hand)

I painted my frame with two coats of acrylic paint and then trimmed a piece of the burlap, slightly larger than the opening of the hole on the frame.  I used double sided tape to adhere the burlap to the frame.

Then I lightly sanded the edges of the frame and the edges of the burlap too, for a bit of a distressed look.

My husband spray painted my clip black for me and I hot glued it to the top of the frame! Done!

Here's a peek with a little note clipped to to it :)

I love when I see an item in the store and I can whip it up myself at home!!  Hope you have a fab weekend!

Modeling paste!!

Over the weekend I was hanging out on Pinterest and found a super easy recipe for homemade modeling paste.

1/4 cup of baby powder, 1TBS of white glue and 1TBS of white acrylic paint.  Let me say this.  The mixture was TOO dry.  We added a bit of water and then kept adding paint and glue to get the exact consistency we wanted.

Abie immediately added some to her journal, with a stencil...

And after a few seconds with the heat gun, she had some awesome texture!

I used a different stencil and applied mine to some cardstock.  I applied mine very thin, so my texture wasn't as thick as hers, but still VERY cool and I can't wait to play around with this some more!!

We stored the mixture in an air tight container and, according to Pinterest, it should still be good the next time we go to use it :)

Have a great Wednesday!!

Brithday gift card holder.

Happy Monday!!  Hope you had a great weekend!  Ours was busy and fun!!  Friday night the girls went their separate ways.  Abie with friends and Landry on a trick or treating hayride with her cousin.

On Saturday I ran around all morning and then Landry had a birthday party that afternoon.  Mike was at home installing the counter tops in the basement!!!  Then on Sunday, more running around and Mike installed the sink in the basement!   We're (and I really me Mike) are almost finished with this three year long project!!

I did get a fair amount of crafting done though so that's awesome!!  We have a lot of November birthdays and for Saturday's party gift card was the present of choice.  I brought home the free gift card holder from the store and then traced it onto cardstock to make my own :)

I found the balloon and star confetti on clearance a couple of weeks ago for like $.30 and knew it would come in handy at some point!!

I just slipped the confetti into one of those zippered jewelry bags from the craft store.

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you soon!!  Have an awesome Monday!!
