Simple birthday invitations.

Happy Friday friends!  My sister and I combine Abie's birthday and my two nephews and have just one party for our family every year.  That party is next Saturday.  We decided on Tuesday to have the party next Saturday.  Haha!  We've both been super busy :)  That meant whipping up some quick invites to send out.

I found these embossed card bases at Michael's, six in a package for $1.50, with envelopes!  I stamped the sentiment on PTI Hawaiian Shores cardstock, rounded one corner and popped the piece up with foam tape.  Done.  The older the kids get, the easier the invites are to make :)

What are you plans this weekend?  We're supposed to get more snow, yuck.  Ours had finally melted and now we're getting more :(  On the bright side, we're puppy sitting a sweet little guy tonight.  I can't wait to see how Dirk does with him!!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I'm hoping to work on birthday invitations today, in between late starts and dentist appointments!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Thursday!!

Washi/planner organization. Because my Project Life picture turned out bad.

Happy Friday everyone!  I meant to post yesterday, but got sidetracked.  So here I am today.  I was going to share my Project Life layout from last week, but when I looked at the picture it was awful.  Blurry and hazy, far away and faint.  I'm not sure where my head was.  I have a hard time taking pictures of layouts anyway.

You know what DID turn out good?  Pictures of my new organization for my washi tape and planner supplies.

I saw this on A Bowl Full of Lemons and immediately ran out to Target to pick one up.  All three pieces lock together and there is a handle on top to carry it with.  The two smaller containers are wide open while the top container has dividers.

Here's the top section.  I've stored all of my small post its and flags, clips and labels in here.

In the second section I have some of my washi tape and my medium sized post its.

Finally in the third section I have the rest of my washi tape.

Now I might have to go back and get a second container because my larger notepads and pens didn't fit.  We'll see though :)

What are your plans for this weekend?  Abie has a volleyball tournament on Saturday and Sunday is Master Bedroom deep clean.  (I'm still on task with my 14 week deep clean :))  I can't tell you how good it feels to have so much of the house cleaned.  Only a few more rooms left!!

Thanks for the visit today and I hope to be back next week with some of my Chicago album to share.  I just need to get photos taken :)  See you then!!  Have an awesome weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day and happy Friday!  Do you have big plans tonight or are you staying in??  We're having our annual candlelight dinner with the girls and a special dessert :), but not until Sunday.  Abie's school Valentine dance is tonight so after we drop her off, it will be a normal Friday night for us.

Today I wanted to share one more Valentine with you.

I started off with a pre-made base that was embossed and then layered on a cute polka dot bag.  I filled the bag up and layered on Valentine themed embellishments.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day and be sure to tell your loved ones you love them EVERY day, not just today :)  We have a big weekend, Abie's birthday party/sleepover is tomorrow and then we have Monday off too!  Yay!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!

Landry's Valentine's.

So this year, when planning Landry's Valentine's it started a few weeks ago with this BLOG POST.  I knew I wanted to use the images in some way, I just wasn't sure how.

Then I went in to Dollar General and found packages of Valentine bubbles and the rest just came together.

I did all of the punching, Landry did the gluing.

Then, she trimmed all of the Baker's Twine and I tied them on to the bubbles after she wrote the to and from on the backs of the scalloped pieces.  So easy!

That's it for Landry's Valentine's!  Thanks for the visit today and I'll be back on Friday with another Valentine card.  Have an awesome Wednesday!!

Valentine Card

Good morning and happy Tuesday to you!!  Just wanted to pop in for a minute today and share a quick card with you.

Sorry for the wonky angle, I couldn't get this picture right.

This was a pre-made base with a small heart pre printed on the bottom.  I covered it up with the red doily and then layered on some fun Valentine pieces.  I love those enamel dots!

We're headed to volleyball practice tonight and I'm super excited for tomorrow because it's supposed to be ABOVE freezing!  Hahaha!

Thanks for stopping in today and I'll be back tomorrow with Landry's Valentine's for her class.  Have a great Tuesday :)

New Orleans recap.

Hey guys!  I'm back from my blog break and ready for my week.  How was your weekend?  Did you get any snow?  While we were gone, we got a bunch of snow and the girls ended up being out of school all week long.  Thank goodness my parents were here to stay with them and are awesome neighbors snow plowed/shoveled the driveway for us :)

I wanted to share some pics from our getaway with you.  We had such a great time, just the two of us.

Monday night we went into Razzoo's and somehow... Mike ended up on the stage, singing with the band :)

We had beignets at my favorite place Tuesday morning for breakfast.  WAY better than Cafe Du Monde, WAY.

We strolled around the French Quarter all day Tuesday and stopped for a coffee.

Later on, we went to Napoleon House for...

A drink and split some Boudin.

Wednesday morning we ate at Something Else Cafe (probably our favorite and best meal) Country fried chicken biscuit for Mike and Shrimp and grits for me.  So good!

We took the trolley to City Park, which I didn't make it to on my last trip.  It was so pretty (but really cold and windy)

The whole French Quarter was decorated for Mardi Gras!  Like Halloween or Christmas decorations, only Mardi Gras.  Super cool!

Wednesday night we went to the Pelicans game which was our first NBA game ever.  It was fun and we had 5th row seats!

We had one last breakfast Thursday morning and headed for the airport.  Our flight was delayed twice, due to mechanical issues with the plane, but we still made it home by 7:15 :)

The best part, was when we walked upstairs to our room, Landry had made us this sign :)

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll be back with lots of Valentiney goodness this week!
