Happy Friday everyone! We've almost made it through the week, and trust me that has been no small feat for me :)
Today I want to share Mike's birthday card with you. His birthday isn't until Monday, but I don't think he reads my blog so we should be good. I went with a super simple sappy kind of a card because I've been feeling pretty sappy lately.
I had the hardest time photographing this dang card! Sorry I'm holding it, but I just couldn't get a good photo against my normal background. Anyway, I used PTI's Gratitude Journal set. I'm really grateful for Mike and what better day to tell him than on his birthday? After I stamped part of the sentiment on the front of the card, it looked WAY to plain, so I jazzed it up with a black rhinestone. Not too feminine, but definitely added a little something.
On the inside, I just added the rest of the sentiment :) So, what do you think? Masculine? Yes or no? Can you have a birthday card without it actually saying happy birthday? I say yes! Haha!
Now I'm in the process of working on a second card for Mike. This one will be a little more fun and it can be from the girls. So I'll have that to share on Monday. I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a super fantastic weekend. Thanks so, so much for stopping by today and I'll see you next week!

Nothing wrong with sappy! Love the simplicity of this card, it's direct and to the point. Hope you have a fantastic weekend.
ReplyDeleteyou can totally have a masculine card that is sappy but doesn't say happy birthday! Did I just say that? Did it make sense (lol)
ReplyDeleteI love sappy and I love simple, so love your card :)
I love that the card didn't say Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteIt is just perfect for a masculine card, and I love the sentiment. Birthdays are the perfect time to remind someone that you love them!
This is perfect for a man. They don't need all the extra goodies-just the basics. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI love the clean look to this card.
ReplyDeleteI think it is perfect for Mike and such a perfect sentiment.
I think sometimes I need to simplify my cards, but it is hard to do isn't it :)
Great card and hope you are enjoying your weekend :)
A thousand times yes! Love it-I'm sure he really appreciated it!
