Mike's birthday card. Well, the first one.

Happy Friday everyone!  We've almost made it through the week, and trust me that has been no small feat for me :)

Today I want to share Mike's birthday card with you.  His birthday isn't until Monday, but I don't think he reads my blog so we should be good.  I went with a super simple sappy kind of a card because I've been feeling pretty sappy lately.

I had the hardest time photographing this dang card!  Sorry I'm holding it, but I just couldn't get a good photo against my normal background.  Anyway, I used PTI's Gratitude Journal set.  I'm really grateful for Mike and what better day to tell him than on his birthday?  After I stamped part of the sentiment on the front of the card, it looked WAY to plain, so I jazzed it up with a black rhinestone.  Not too feminine, but definitely added a little something.

On the inside, I just added the rest of the sentiment :)  So, what do you think?  Masculine?  Yes or no?  Can you have a birthday card without it actually saying happy birthday?  I say yes!  Haha!

Now I'm in the process of working on a second card for Mike.  This one will be a little more fun and it can be from the girls.  So I'll have that to share on Monday.  I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a super fantastic weekend.  Thanks so, so much for stopping by today and I'll see you next week!

  3. you can totally have a masculine card that is sappy but doesn't say happy birthday! Did I just say that? Did it make sense (lol)
I love sappy and I love simple, so love your card :)

  4. I love that the card didn't say Happy Birthday!

It is just perfect for a masculine card, and I love the sentiment. Birthdays are the perfect time to remind someone that you love them!

  5. This is perfect for a man. They don't need all the extra goodies-just the basics. Very nice!
