Finally Friday, wahoo! Awhile back I saw this cool storage idea where people were using an old cassette tape holder to store their ink pads. I began keeping my eye out for one, because I've never been happy with the way I've stored my inks.
I found one a few months ago at a local thrift shop, but there was just something about it that wasn't right. So I passed on it. Fast forward to last Friday. Abie wanted to go to the thrift shop (thank you Macklemore) and guess what I found? The perfect cassette tape holder, for only $2.99!
All of my Momento ink pads fit, CTMH, PTI (the old style), Tim Holtz distress inks and Versamagic chalk inks fit. What doesn't fit? Cats eye inks, PTI cubes, Versamark watermark pads and Colorbok chalk inks. They were all just too fat :) I'm hoping to rig something up where I can have them set up on top of my new ink station :) I'm in transition right now anyway, while some of the basement furniture is up in the new craft room so I've got some time to figure it out.
This week has just flown by. I'm sure it's the holiday, but work has been a little crazy too, which always helps to pass the time! I'm excited for the weekend. Mike and I are going to a concert Saturday and I can't wait! What are your plans this weekend? Anything fun? Thanks for stopping in and I'll be back soon :)

Let's talk washi.
Do you guys like washi? I'm loving it and using it on tons of stuff! It was not too long ago that I couldn't find it anywhere and now they have it everywhere! Target, Joann's, Michael's, Hobby Lobby and I love it!
Here are some of my latest finds!
All of these I found at Michael's for 40% off. I kept watching the ad and looking for it to say "washi 40 % off" but it never did. I walked in one day last week and the sign said "Recollections embellishments 40% off" Duh Becky!
I picked this up at Michael's too, 40% off. It was originally $7.99, I NEVER would have bought it, but for almost 1/2 price, you betcha!
Here are my $1 Joann washis. I love them A LOT, but there is not a lot on the roll. I also picked up a roll that was cream with black moustaches. I gave that one to Abie :)
I love how you can add a quick bit of color or pattern with washi and just an extra bit of texture or layer! What are your favorite ways to use washi?
Thanks for stopping in today! I'll be back tomorrow with a new storage idea! Well, new to me. Haha! Have a great Thursday!

A yellow card.
Oh man, I cannot believe I forgot to tell you guys this! I freaking cracked my laptop screen! I've been watching a ton of videos on Youtube lately and just been leaving my ear buds on my keyboard part. Well, Sunday I was carrying my laptop downstairs and I bent over to plug my laptop in and I guess I pushed down too hard on the top of my laptop and it pushed my ear buds into my screen and CRACK! Son of a!
Mike is off this week, so I'm hoping that he'll offer to get it looked at. It's only a year old, so really can't see getting it replaced. In the meantime, I've got the desktop monitor plugged into the laptop. Annoying. And, every time I look at my screen I get sick to my stomach. Ugh. What's the morale of the story? Don't ever use you keyboard as storage.
On to my card today :)
I absolutely LOVE this card! I love the colors, I love the repetitive stamping, the sentiment, everything about it makes me smile! Do you ever make cards like that?
Abie has a volleyball game tonight. Excited to see her play again after having several weeks off. Thanks for popping in for a minute today and I'll be back tomorrow. See you then!

Some new pens!
Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend! Ours was a three day one here and we enjoyed every minute. We got a lot of yard work done, the girls either slept over or had a sleepover and we are enjoying the start of our summer vacation!
I've been on a bit of a shopping spree lately. Mostly for my new Filofax. I know I posted a couple of weeks ago about my pocket Domino, but it just wasn't big enough. So last week I ordered a personal sized Saffiano and it showed up early, on Saturday! I was so excited! I wasn't able to get to it until Sunday, but I have it all set up and ready to go now :)
What I'm sharing today is craft and Filo related :) Pens! I picked up a couple of new pens I want to share with you guys.
The first pens I want to tell you about are the Pilot Frixion pens. I found mine at Office Max, but they also sell them at my Target. These are the .7 mm size. I have only been able to find the .5 mm size online. I am a FAT writer and the .7 mm size have been just fine for me. What's so cool about these pens?
They write almost like a cross between a gel and ball point pen. Very different. But here's the cool part.
They're erasable! I mean REALLY erasable! You can't see any trace of where you wrote! Perfect for writing in a planner ;) or a CARD or anywhere else that you might make a mistake and need to erase. Love them!!
Now, on to my next purchase. I found out about theses from my friend Dawn. She posted a pic on Instagram and I was like, "where did you find those????"
Yes, neon Sharpies! She found hers at Target. I couldn't find them there, but ended up finding mine at Walmart. They were about $5.42 or something?
These are a little weird. When you write with them, they are dark and then they dry to the neon color. Weird, right? The computer color may be slightly distorted. They are pretty cool. Not exactly highlighter color, I can't explain it.
So those are my finds today. I'll be back tomorrow. I have a couple of fun things this week. A new storage find that I've been searching for, some more new product, a new card... I hope you have a great Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!

What I did with my prize!
A few weeks ago I won a giveaway from LISA'S BLOG. She was giving away Little Yellow Bicycle's Naturals and I was so excited when I got them in the mail!
Check those out!!! Great, right?
This is the little card I made with one of the flowers :) I loved how easy it was to pop that flower off and pop it right on my card! The perfect embellishment!
Thank you SO much Lisa! She has the most amazing layouts, cards and projects on her blog. If you haven't been by for a visit, you should go check her out :)
And, thank you for coming by to see me today!! I hope you have an absolutely wonderful weekend! We have a little landscaping project planned for tomorrow, pizza tonight and Mike is smoking a brisket on Sunday :) Cannot wait! See you soon!

Have you ever made a card, that you really love and...
You take a picture of it, and you give the card away, and then when you upload the card to your blog you realize the picture you took was really, REALLY crummy? Haha!
I made this card last week, and I just LOVED it! Loved the way it turned out, loved how quick it was to make, loved the colors, blah, blah, blah :) Then, after I gave it away, and uploaded the picture, I realized the picture was just awful :(
It's like I'm standing right on top of the card and it's bending forward, all wonky like. Ugh! ;) I still love the card though :)
Today is the last day of school for the kids. I can hardly believe it's the end of the year and the start of summer vacation!!! Dang that went fast! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend eve and I'll be back tomorrow with another card. Thanks for stopping by today!

WOYWW
Good morning! How is everyone? I feel like I've been gone for ages. Today I'm linking up with JULIA
to share my work space and what I've been working on.
I've been working on my FILOFAX pages so almost everything is for that. Right now, most of my Filofax supplies fit in that little pink crate. Isn't it cute? I picked up a bunch of $1 washi at Joann's on Monday, did you know about that??? I was so excited! Anyway, the green washi on my desk is from Hobby Lobby and it has the cutest little birds on it. The pile to the left is the newest copy of Paper Crafts and some stickers, for my Filo :) then in front of that is a little notepad and some super cute paperclips I found at Michael's! The composition notebook and glue stick is for an entirely different project. One I was inspired by from Tracy's Pinterest boards.
I guess that's about it for today. Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow with a new card :) Have a great Wednesday!!

Can't think of a catchy title...
so I'll just say a new card for this Friday. Sometimes I have a hard time coming up with a blog entry title. Other times they just are really obvious.
So here's my card :)
This was my first time using this Cuttlebug embossing folder and I just love it! I want to use it on everything. I picked out a butterfly from an ephemera pack I bought recently and then just built the cluster around it. I love how it turned out :)
Not too much going on this weekend. Mike is running in the morning and it's city wide garage sale day. Then two birthday (combined) parties in the afternoon. Looking forward to relaxing in between all of that.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a lovely weekend and great Friday! See you soon!

My new Filofax!
Oh...my...goodness... I am beyond obsessed! Ha! It all started with my friend TRACY. So I'm going to blame her :) She posted an awesome video HERE and did another blog post HERE all about picking out her planner and then craftifying it! That's what I'm going to call it :) There is a whole community out there dedicated to Filofaxes and organizing them. Tons of videos on Youtube, groups on Facebook (thanks Steph!) even blogs! I've been researching for awhile now and placed an order for my very first ever Filofax last Monday, the 6th.
I ordered the Ultra Violet Domino Organizer in pocket size. It was 50% off. I started out with this one because for the last few years, I've been using the calendar on my phone and doing okay with it (it was a HUGE issue for me to switch from a paper planner to digital) so I didn't want to invest too much money into this, just in case I would end up not using it as much as I hope too. Just between us, I already have my eye on a couple more I'm thinking about buying. Haha! It arrived on Saturday, and it was pure torture waiting all those days for it to get here!
So, on to the pictures!!
Here's a look at my planner from the front, closed. It's slightly bigger than an A2 card :)
When you first open it, to the left are four card pockets, which I don't have anything in yet. On the right is a clear plastic sheet that came with the planner. I'm not sure if this is called the flyleaf or not though. I've see on a few videos where they call the clear sheet a flyleaf, but on the website you can order a flyleaf which has an actual tab on the side of it. So the jury's out on that one. The other thing I've heard on videos, is people refer to the next sheet as their dashboard. I guess that's just the next piece of paper after your flyleaf? (total novice here...) So I added a favorite piece of patterned paper and will keep important notes here. I've also stored a couple fun shaped paperclips (picked those up at Target in the Dollar Spot) for safe keeping. I've seen others keep pictures or quotes in this area.
The next section are my actual calendar pages, but I'm saving those for the end... Let's move on to my tabbed dividers, shall we?
The planner came with six manila colored tabs that were numbered from 1-6. Well, that just didn't work ;) I used THIS punch and it was an almost identical match for the tabs. I used it to cover up the numbered tabs first and then trimmed patterned paper to fit the large portion of the divider. I used the larger hole of my Crop-a-dile to punch out the holes, which matched perfectly. Since the tabs were on the side, I also added a tab to the top or bottom, depending on the divider, using the Stampin' Up! Round Tab Punch. I'm finding it much easier to flip to these sections using these tabs then the side tabs. Since I took these pictures though, I've moved all of the Round Tabs to the tops of the dividers. It's just easier for me that way.
My first section is titled Blog. I'm using this to keep track of blog ideas for posts or anything blog related.
My next section is for Crafts. I've always kept a list of craft ideas and projects that I need to work on. That list is now kept here.
Next up, Shop/Buy. Target, Walmart etc all those lists will be kept here.
This section is for Family. It's currently empty. Ha! I know I'll use it soon though. Birthday party ideas, gift ideas, etc.
The last labeled tab is To Do. I think that speaks for itself :)
I had one more tab, but couldn't think of anything to label it. So for right now I'm keeping passwords in it.
Behind my dividers is my address book. Pretty plain. I'm trying to decide if I want to fancy up the dividers on those too...
Next up is this neat plastic envelope. I'm keeping my extra sticky notes in it for now.
On to my decorated calendar pages! I had a picture of this week all ready to go and then I realized it had a bunch of WAY personal info on it that I probably shouldn't post on the bloggity blog. Soooo, I'm going to share next weeks week, which isn't nearly as fun, because it isn't all the way done yet, but you'll get the idea :)
This is just what I have so far. Tracy posted THIS VIDEO and I was completely inspired on how to trim my washi into two narrow pieces, perfect for my tiny Filo! I'm not sure if I'm diggin' the week on two pages. I might switch to one day per page. We'll see though.
Here's a look at my Filo from the top...
And from the side.
Aaaahhhh. I'm in love :) completely and utterly in love :) Are you obsessed with anything right now? What about a planner? Paper or digital? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for hangin' with me for this ultra long post! I'll see you back here tomorrow. Have a fantastic Thursday!

More Rolodexes!
Good morning! Did you have a nice weekend? Ours just went by way too fast! It was a great weekend, but man they sure do fly by!
A couple of weeks ago I was contacted and asked to make some Rolodexes for some gifts. She had seen the other ones I had made and thought they would be good for a "pay it forward" she was involved in.
I used the same layout as the last Rolodexes I made, just changed up the colors a little bit.
The green ink shows up better on the yellow in person.
I wrapped them up and attached these cards that she asked me to make as well :)
Here's a close up of the cards :)
These were much more fun this time around, I'm not sure if it was because I only had half as make or what. Ha!
Over the weekend my new Filofax came!!! I've jumped on the bandwagon, thanks to Tracy :) I'm hoping to get pictures taken and posted this week! Can't even tell you how excited I am about it! Hope you have a great Monday. Thanks for stopping in today :)

A card for Friday.
Last week I needed a birthday card for my Grandma Jean and when I started out making it I had every intention of stamping a birthday sentiment on the front. Well, once I got to making it, I liked it better without the sentiment.
See what I mean? I just couldn't figure out where to place the sentiment that looked good to me. So I stamped it on the inside!! I love the colors on this card too.
What are you up to this weekend? Any big plans? I'm not exactly sure what we'll be doing yet, but I am so happy it's Friday! Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back Monday! Have a great weekend!

Teacher Appreciation Week.
Whew, what a week! So happy it's Thursday, so happy we've had nice weather, so happy I have a wonderful family, so happy to have my blog, so happy to have new fun nail polish, just so happy :)
Today I'm sharing a quick little gift I made for the girls' teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week.
I put some Jordan Almonds in clear celo bags and placed them inside these brown sacks. Then I added a doily that I attached with the ever versatile washi tape :) I stapled tags to the fronts and was done!
Sorry about the blurry pic here, but you get the idea :)
I hope you have an absolutely wonderful Thursday and thank you SO much for stopping by today. I'll see you tomorrow friends!!

Birthday boy tag.
Last weekend we had a boy birthday party and I needed a quick tag. For some reason I always seem to put the tags off until the last minute!
I was trying to match the tag with the bag and tissue paper and had a difficult time with my papers and inks. I think it turned out okay though!! My favorite thing about this tag though is how I attached it. I just stapled it right to the bag! Super quick and easy!!
Thanks for stopping in today :) I'll be back tomorrow, until then, have an absolutely WONDERFUL Tuesday!!

Project Life, Instagram photos and Selphy.
Happy Friday to you! I seriously felt like I just typed that, last Friday. Goodness this week went by super fast! We have a busy weekend ahead, cleaning house, laundry, birthday party, Cinco de Mayo celebration, Origami Owl party (have you seen this stuff? SUPER cute!), crafting, etc.
Today I want to share my last few weeks of Project Life and a little experiment I had with Instagram photos and my Selphy.
This was week 14. The bottom two pictures I took with Instagram and I wasn't sure if I would be able to print them on my Selphy or not. Well guess what?? I was! Can't even tell you how excited I was! All I did was select the border feature just before I hit print and my photos came out all beautiful like :)
Week 15, a few more Instagram pics :)
Week 15, a 6x12 insert.
Week 16, boring. Haha!
So what is the morale of this Instagram/Selphy story? I need to buy some of the Becky Higgins page protectors that fit the Instagram photos. Yay!!
Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you have an absolutely wonderful weekend! See you soon!
