New planner stamps!

It's Wednesday already! Woot woot!

A couple of weeks ago I saw a picture on instagram with a link to My Sweet Stamp Shop and they carry the cutest stamps for your planner!

I picked out three sets that I thought I would use the most, they were $7.95 each. The shipping was super fast and they are the heavy acrylic stamps :)

I've been using them for a few weeks now and love the orderliness they add to my weeks ;) I've been using chalk inks to stamp with,  they seem to bleed LESS through the paper. If I clean the stamps immediately,  they don't stain. I've had problems with chalk inks staining my acrylic stamps in the past.

So here's a peek at the three sets I ordered and one of my weeks :)

Fauxdori, Jendori, Chic Sparrow.

Hey all!  I'm super excited to share my post today!  You know I'm a wee bit obsessed with my planners/planning/list making, etc.  For almost two years I've used a few different styles of ring bound Filofaxes and I LOVE them.  And honestly, I'll go back to them, because they are awesome.

However, I've seen, and heard about the Midori Traveler's Notebook A LOT lately and after watching a lot of videos and perusing a lot of Instagram feeds :) I decided to buy a Jendori from Chic Sparrow on Etsy.  Essentially, a Midori or a Jendori or a Fauxdori is a leather cover with a few elastic bands in the spine which you slip paper books into.  There is a whole range of things you could use your book for.  A journal, a planner, a sketchbook, or all three!!

So, here is how I've chosen to set up my Jendori!  PICTURE HEAVY POST AHEAD!!

Here's the cover.  I added a little charm to front :) I love the color, it matches my Madewell Tote perfectly and smells wonderful!

Here's a picture from the top, a little blurry, but I added some monthly tabs and  it gives it a little color too.

And here's a side view.  The leather is super thick!  I'm SO pleased with this cover, seriously!

 

I ordered two different books from Yellow Paper House on Etsy.  One of which was this monthly, which was blank and I had to fill in the dates.  What I loved about Yellow Paper House, besides the crazy fast shipping, was the number of colors you could choose from for your pages!  They had SO many options for books to choose from, but I just got the two. 

 

 

The fronts of the books came blank so I decorated them, for now, with a simple Project Life card, and some washi tape.

This is the second book I ordered.  It was the weekly, January through March 2015.  I picked a fun bright blue color. 

I MADE two different folders to hold all those little bits and pieces.  After watching YouTube videos, mine were kind of messed up and looked a little wonky, but I made them work :)

I think my favorite part are the books I made and were a big part of why I bought the Jendori in the first place.  These books were super easy to make and I even have Abie hooked on making them!

I made one book that was a combination of plain paper and graph paper.  I am using it to keep my to do lists, book lists, home lists, etc in.

Then I was inspired by Tracy's post on her Fauxbochini and I made an entirely separate book of graph paper to journal in.  All of these books fit in my Jendori and I love it!!

So, that's it.  I'm enjoying this new system, for now.  I know that I'll go back to my Filofax one of these days, but for now...

Christmas dividers.

Since we're officially in December, I feel like I can post Christmas projects now :)

I made these Christmas dividers for my planner, back when I made the last set of dividers, but didn't start using them until the 1st :) I also switched back into my red Metropol, it's so festive!!

I made these exact dividers last year, but since they weren't laminated, the tabs kind of got torn up. So this year, I used the same paper and layout and then ran them through the laminator. I love how they turned out!!

Now every time I check my to do list or look at my calendar I feel all Christmasy!!

Happy New Year!

Did you have a good time ringing in 2014?  I almost missed it.  I dozed off on the couch somewhere between 11-11:30 and then woke up just in time :)  My mom and dad came out and we fixed snacks and watched movies.  It was a great  night.  Then Mike fixed biscuits and gravy this morning.  After my parents left, we took down the last tree and got the house right back to normal.  I love putting the decorations up, but I love taking them down.  Feels like a fresh, clean start to the year for me!

Today I wanted to share with you my Filofax layout for this year.  I've been using the lined weekly inserts from Filofax and, at times, I find I don't have a enough room to write.  Especially my to do lists.  So I did some research and I came up with the day per page inserts from Franklin Covey.

On the left page is a timed column and a check list area and on the right is basically a piece of notepaper for lists.  I think it will work great for my Project Life lists, but the pages take up so much room I can only have three months at a time in here.  For those times when I have to make appointments for the future, I also have monthly calendars in here too.  I decorated all the days for this week with washi, which took a bit of time rather than the old pages.  We'll see how I like this and if I get confused with it :)  I love a new calendar for the new year.  What about you?

Filofax Pages

Today I wanted to share a finished Filofax week.  I think the weeks I've shared in the past have been upcoming weeks so I wanted to show you what a week of mine looks like after I've finished my to dos, etc.

This was a pretty slow week.  It was our first week without volleyball :)  I used minimal washi to decorate.  I have gotten in the habit of writing a checklist of to dos on the right and then on left goes birthdays or notes for Project Life.  I write with my erasable Frixion pen for future appointments and then when I sit down to decorate the week and plan out things, I erase everything and write in my checklist, etc.  Now you may think this looks very neat.  I also use post its throughout the week.  Those get thrown out daily, after I've completed the tasks on the post its.  I've been using this system since May and I can't tell you how much more organized I feel since switching back to paper, from digital.  I'm getting  more done around the house and I don't constantly have that feeling of, "oh man, I think I'm forgetting something."

That's it for me today.  I've been working on cataloguing some newer stamps and filing them away.  Need to finish those up tonight and then hopefully work on a few cards!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow with a fun to find!
