Grandma's Birthday

Happy Cinco De Mayo!  It's also my Grandma Jean's birthday today.  She is one of the coolest women I know.  She always has a kind word for everyone, she's always cleaning, very "fixy", a great hostess, loves to hug, loves her family and these are just a few of the reasons we named Landry Jean after her. Grandma and Grandad moved down to the lake when they retired in 1995 so I don't get to see them as often as I would like.  But she and my Grandma Mary would write to me every week when I was in college!  We mostly talk by phone now and I will still her cards :)   My card today is for her:

I just can't seem to help myself with Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe.  I LOVE it so much!!!  I tied a bit of tulle around the two floral pieces, mostly because I couldn't find the right shade of ribbon, and added a button card and few other bits to embellish the front.

A little update on Abie.  We went to the doctor yesterday and he said she would start regenerating bone within two weeks.  She will be in the splint for four to six weeks and should be completely healed in eight.  Bad news, no tennis for at least three months.  Good news, we can take the splint off to shower!  Haha!  We will have to take her in to the doctor every week for X-rays.  So grateful it's the end of school and her testing is over!  I want to thank all of you who commented and left well wishes for Abie yesterday.  It meant so much!  :)

I hope you have a GREAT Thursday and thank you so much for coming by today!
