Monday Funday!

Yes it's Monday.  Yes the weekend is over.  Yes I have to go back to work today.  But, once we get through today, it will be Tuesday!  My husband gets home early on Monday night.  And I have a super fun card to share with you today!

Funny story about this card.  My inspiration came, again from a magazine.  This time of a pink and gray bedroom.  All I had in mind was the color scheme.  When I was little, I had this Brooke Shields doll.  I loved everything about her, but especially her pink and gray outfit.  The only thing I could think about Sunday while I was making this card was that dang Brooke Shields doll.  Ahh, the memories.  I had so much fun playing with that doll.  Okay, enough reminiscing.  On to the card.

The card base is a larger size than normal.  It measures 4x81/2.  The reason for that being, every year we get those photo cards for our Christmas cards.  They typically send extra envelopes and I feel bad throwing these away.  Now don't go thinking I'm a hoarder.  Quite the opposite actually.  The deal is, envelopes are crafty.  I can't throw something CRAFTY away.  Anyway, these leftover envelopes hold a 4x81/2 card perfectly!
It's hard to tell in the photo, but I stamped the background with PTI's Background Basics Text Style II with CTMH white ink.
Close up of the rhinestones...
I had a lot of fun with this.  I was able to use my new dies from Papertrey (more about those later in the week)!  I hope you guys have a great Monday!  Try to do something crafty today and thanks for stopping by!
