Kindergarten Card.

Can you believe it's Wednesday?  It's the first day of school for my girls and a special one at that.  Abie starts 5th grade today, her last year of elementary school and Landry starts Kindergarten!  I'm going in to work late today and was planning on letting them sleep in, etc, but those stinkers were up by 6:15 AM!  As I was typing this blog post!  Haha!  I love that they are both so excited about school and LOVE school so much!  Makes me happy.

Today I'm going to share the card I made for Landry, to give to her this morning.  (I shared Abie's card a week or so ago)

This was a card that came to me in the middle of the night :)  I was struggling with what I wanted to do for Landry and then this popped into my head.  Perfect for her!  Let me tell you though, This little girl stamp is one of those $1 We Are Memory Keepers Stamps that matches one of their paper lines, right?  Well, they're not the best quality.  Anyway, I stamped the yellow girl first, with Distress Ink.  It kind of bled.  I'm not very fluent in Distress Ink, but it is NOT WRMK stamp friendly :)  Haha!  I used Momento ink on the other two and it stamped beautifully!

I'm off to get ready for work and to get the girls ready for school.  We'll do pictures on the front porch and all that fun stuff!  I hope your kids have a great first day, if it's today, and all of the teachers out there are blessed with perfect kids and an ideal classrooms this year ;)  Thanks for popping in today and I'll see you tomorrow!

  4. Aww what a sweet card.
That stamp is so cute :) I can see her coloured up so nicely as well.
No distress inks are not the best for stamping.
So happy your girls were excited for their first day of school :)
