Landry's thank yous and Project Life week 23

Whew, sorry to go missing on you yesterday.  It's been a very busy week here in Beckyland!  In fact, Thursday night was the first night we were home.

Today I have a couple of things I want to share.  The first are Landry's thank you cards.

Landry did all of the stamping herself.  I wrote in who the thank you was for and what the gift was and then Landry signed her name.  She was so excited about this and I think she did a great job!  Sunday night she hand delivered all of her thank yous to the neighbors and then after finishing the cards, mailed the rest out later.  I don't know if Stampin' Up! still offers this stamp, or maybe another version of it, but it's been used a lot over the years at our house.

Now, on to Project Life.  This week was different for me, because Week 23 was the week we were at Disney.  Now you know I've completely replaced all of my scrapbooking with Project Life.  So what was I going to do with all of our vacation photos?  I usually, almost always, well, at least the last three years, have made a separate vacation album.  This year I excused myself from that.  I made a photo book, online, with all of our photos!  But that still left the matter of the Project Life week.

I picked three of my favorite photos and best described the week on the four journaling cards.  The only problem I had left was what to do with all of our memorabilia.  I thought the best way would be with a pocket page.

Enter 12x12 insert!

This side held all of our maps.

The flip side held all of our receipts and other things.  I always like to keep our receipts in case we go back years later.  Wouldn't it be fun to see how much things cost before?

Okay, that's it for today.  We're really melting here and drying out like you wouldn't believe.  No rain in sight, as far as I know.  Our plans for this weekend include lots of staying inside, where it's cool :)

Hope you have a great weekend and a wonderful Friday!  Thanks for stopping in today and I'll see you soon.

I love how your pocket pages turned out! Great way to keep it all together and a fun way to still be able to see it. Isn't it great that you can do this right in PL? It's one of my favorite things about my album! :)

  5. I am so impressed with how you were able to condense your Disney trip into just three photos in PL!! I wish I could edit myself like that! LOL. And the online photo book is wonderful for trips like this!
I love Landry's Thank You's, we'll be working on Jackson's soon. I have a feeling he won't be as cooperative. LOL.

  6. Landry's thank you cards are perfect. She did a great job on them.
You PL is great. I love that you used a pocket page to put the extras from your vacation in.
Great stress reliever to make an album on-line :)

  7. I love Landry's thank you cards! She did a fabulous job!

Your Project Life page is awesome! The pocket pages were such a great way to include all of your memorabilia. I did an online album for my December Daily. I thought it was so much less stressful than a traditional album!

Also - I have an award for you on my blog today! http://katie-stories.blogspot.com/2012/07/project-life-week-9-and-blog-award.html

I hope you have a great weekend!

  8. Too late for WOYWW, so have browsed both posts instead. Landry did a great job, am loving the 'take the pad to the stamp' inking action; pne of the first things I suggest to newbies...so much easier!

  9. Oh wow Becky, what a lovely post! First of all, Landry's gorgeous little card - I think that's soooo cool, the fact she did the stamping herself and signed it! I loved seeing her on WOYWW. And your beautiful scrap book layout - nice to see that a bit closer up too!

Julia says it's too late for WOYWW - she is the boss so I suppose she should know, but I'm making a real effort this week and still visiting desks, which I hope to finish today (Monday) or at least, tomorrow! For me, any day before Wednesdy and the next WOYWW, is not too late for a WOYWW visit!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Glad you are enjoying what I'm doing with my lovely new inks.
