TGIF!

Happy Friday everyone!  I told you yesterday I had some new goodies to share with you and here they are!

These are some fun Smashbook sticky tabs that I thought would be awesome for my Project Life album!  How cute are they?

This little pad is full of blank journaling cards.  I've seen several "famous" Project Lifers use these in their books and Michael's had them for $1.99!  I only bought one pad, it was hard to choose which one to get.

I kept in mind the colors of my PL core kit and thought this pad went the best.

I wanted to give you a peek at how I'm keeping up with my album during the weeks.  I'm only going to print my photos once a month so here's what I'm doing in the meantime.  On a daily basis I'm keeping notes in my calendar.  One day I forgot to write down notes and I tried to remember the next day and I already forgot what we had done.  Can you imagine if I wasn't taking notes on a daily basis, or trying to???  On a weekly basis, I'm doing this...

This is another tip from MICHELLE WOODERSON.  She talked about using post it's to keep herself organized and now that I'm doing the project, I totally get what she means.  I took a few minutes and added some notes about photos I want to print for  the album and journaling I want to enter.

This lone post it was for the beginning of a week :)  When I get time, I'll go back and add in title cards and some journaling cards.  The hope is that at the end of the month, I'll print my photos and slip them in to finish off the weeks!

So, do you have any organizational tips for your scrapbooking?  What's your best tip for keeping yourself on top of things?

Big plans this weekend?  We're cleaning out the toy part of the family room tomorrow and also Landry's room.  Mike and I might be going out tomorrow night for a little date, TBD :)  Other than that, just relaxing and enjoying ourselves.  It's a three day weekend for the girls and me, poor Mike has to work Monday :(  we'll miss him, but I'm sure that we'll find something to occupy our time!

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by today!

  3. I love that smash stuff!! I didn't they had Smash either.
I am not doing PL this year, but have been collecting tips and tricks and made a PL board at Pinterest for when I do start it up. Maybe even in July when Mike starts his next out of town project.
But when I do, I am thinking I may just do one page per week. And won't take daily photos. Just weekly. Printing photos once a month is my usual goal, but I've been lax with that. I need to get back in that habit!
But we are getting a new printer since the other one went kaput, and it's going to be able to print photos at home. So I think that will help tremendously with PL!

  4. I love the Smash books stuff! I had no idea they had that at Michaels! I need to return a bunch of "extras" from my big trip last weekend. The goal was to save some money, but I may need to pick those up :)

I love to use post its to organize. I also scrap chronologically, so I slip all of my photos into the page holders they'd belong to in my scrapbook. That way, I can skip around making the pages, but everything still stays in order - life would be so much easier with a ring bound album!

Those are some great weekend plans, especially date night! We have a birthday party tonight and I want to do a big cleaning tomorrow (of course, before the playoff games start!) I am off Monday too, but AJ isn't, so I'm going to scrapbook all day!

  5. Great ideas for staying on top even without the photos. I slip mine into the protectors so I know that those are what needs to be scrapped next, granite I am still slowly catching up :0) Have an awesome weekend, three days for us also :0) Hugs!

  7. Looks like you have your project life under control :)
I am sure you will keep up with it better then I did.
My biggest tip is definately post it notes.
I use them on everything...When I do a layout and am elsewhere, I bring my post it notes and jot down what I want to add when I get home :)
I plan on doing a bit of catch up on my P365
