Heart wreath!

Good morning and happy Monday!  Did you get the day off today, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day?  The girls and I are home, but Mike is at work :(  We'll have to keep ourselves occupied until he gets home.

Last Wednesday I posted a picture of a wreath I was working on.  I found this idea on Pinterest and thought it was SO cute.  I made these for the girls doors and after cutting out the strips, 2x11, Abie was able to help the rest of the way...

In the directions, she used glue dots to hold hers together.  I used my ATG gun.  I have to say, the ATG gun failed me!  I usually holds so well for me, gravity is NOT it's friend.  After I hung these up on their doors, I had to glue the loose parts with the Tombow Mono glue (is that green and white stuff?) and hold them closed with mini clothespins.  It worked, crisis avoided and happy girls!  :)

Are you making anything fun for V-day?  I have another project I found on Pinterest that I'm thinking about working on, just not sure yet.

Mom might be taking the girls to see a movie today.  Other than that, I'm laying low, enjoying my day at home.  Hope you had a nice weekend.  Thanks for stopping in today and I'll see you tomorrow!

  1. this is adorable!! so cute!

have a fun day today! the boys, my mom and i are going out for lunch and hopefully a little craftiness going on!

  2. Too cute! I am so making one of these.

  3. Great job! I bet the girls had a ball helping you! Love Penny

  4. Cute cute cute!! I may have to make one to hang around the homestead!

Happy Day off! We're all home today too - except for Dad. LOVE long weekends!

  5. That is too cute!

I'm off today, but AJ is not. Which means I'm crafting all day long! I'm making a valentine's day banner, and if I can find enough cute pink papers, I'll be making this cute wreath too :)

  6. This is so cute! Love all the great projects to be found at Pinterest. I have found that strong adhesive is great unless you need to hang stuff. Mine failed too so for projects like this, liquid adhesive is a must. And while I love to lok at all the projects, Valentines is the one holiday I ignore. :)

  7. Very, very cute!
Glad that the crisis was taken care of :)
I have had trouble with glue dots holding things at times, too.
You just never know with the project sometimes until it's to late!

  8. I knew those were going to turn out cute, adorable! Hugs!

  9. Really cute Becky!! I love Pinterest and all the fun ideas, good for you for making something!!I just look and pin!! ;)

  10. Awwww this is so cute.
    Love the bright colours.
Hot glue would have held those suckers as well.
I so want to make some fun things for Valentines day...but not sure what yet...I'll know After Valentines day, lol.
