I can't believe how fast this week went by. Can you? It completely flew by here. I was halfway productive last night but I still have a few things on my to do list for this weekend.
I have a really fun card to share today that I'm in love with. I've been falling in love with a lot of my cards lately :) I wanted to make each of the girls a card for their first day of school, Abie for fourth grade and Landry for preschool. The card I'm sharing today is for Abie.
I started this card kind at what I thought was backwards. I cut the red spiral piece out first and stamped on it and then layered backwards towards the base. But then I realized that's how I make almost all of my cards. I start with my focal point and then work back, picking out papers that match and a card base. Is that how you guys do it or do you work from your base up?
What's up for your weekend? Mike and I are headed to the Chiefs Pre Season game tonight. Mom and Dad are watching the girls!!!! Yeah! I'm hoping to get some miscellaneous things done on Saturday and then on Sunday we're doing the Komen walk on my cousin's team. It's going to be a busy weekend!
I hope you have a wonderful Friday and a fabulous weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!!!

Great card for your daughter! Love it. :)
ReplyDeleteoh this is just way toooo cute! love it! I was actually thinking of somehting similar-- because i was bad and bought some paper trey ink goodies!
ReplyDeleteGreat card! You are totally allowed to be in love with your own creations! :) I love the notebook edge. I think I work in the opposite way because I primarily do layouts. When I move it to a card, I start with the background and pick things out that won't clash. Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned. TGIF!!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! The spiral punch is too cute.
ReplyDeleteLOOOVE the colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card! I love the colors, and all the papers!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and your color combo... thanks for sharing. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun card. So sweet that you made them a card for their first day back at school.
ReplyDeleteAs for making cards. I haven't thought about my steps for this. But lately I seem to colour an image then pick some pattern paper to match and work from there.
I'll have to pay attention next time.
