Happy Anniversary...a day later.

Good morning!  I'm coming off a great weekend!  On Saturday, I spent the better part of the day working on my Christmas tags, whew is that ever a project.  Lots of steps on those.  I'm not quite finished yet, but will be sure to post pictures when I am.  Saturday night we had a wedding, which was so nice.  It was two friends whom we've known for almost twelve years and the night was just perfect for them.  I was so happy to see them get married and to see how everything came together.  The food was probably the best I've ever had at a wedding, they had an open bar (score!), photo booth and chocolate fountain!  What's not to love?  Most of all, right before the bride turned the corner to walk down the aisle, I could see her face, and she took a deep breath and closed her eyes as if she was just taking a moment to take it all in.  I thought that was really sweet.

On Sunday, Mike and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary.  With having the wedding on Saturday, we talked a lot about our wedding and how little we really remember about ours.  I remember bits and pieces, and of course have pictures to remember things but that's about it.  The wedding was just a day, what was and is still important to us is the marriage.  I think that's the way it should be though, right?  It's funny, you spend so much time and money on this big event that is over in a few hours and then, twelve years later you only remember bits and pieces of.  It's kind of funny isn't it?  I really lucked out with Mike, he's a great guy.  An amazing provider, father and friend.  I know that he'll do whatever he has to to take care of me and the girls and that is the most comforting feeling.  At the same time, he lets me be me.  We make a good team!

When I sat down to make this anniversary card for Mike, I knew the color scheme I wanted to go with but that was about it.  I started perusing my Cricut carts and came up with this leaf image on my Stretch Your Imagination cart.  After that, the card just came together.

Too girly?  Mike didn't think so, but I think he had to say that!  Haha!  I'm out for today, thanks for stopping by!  BTW, you guys are awesome and all your comments mean so much.  I'm feeling especially grateful this week, maybe it's the upcoming holiday, for family and friends.  See you tomorrow!
