A new card for Friday!

Yay Friday!!  What are your plans this weekend?  Mike and Abie are going to the Royals game Saturday night, he won two tickets and we couldn't get a babysitter so he's taking her :)  Landry and I are having a Christmas in July night!  We're going to order Chinese food, watch Christmas movies in our PJ's and drink hot chocolate :)

Today I'm sharing a card I made for my Grandad's birthday earlier this month.  I knew I wanted to use this background stamp and I already had the aqua base cut out.  The rest of it just sort of came together.

This stamp is so weird, because of the texture.  I think I would use it more if it was just solid.  I wonder how I would like it on patterned paper?  Hmm...

I hope you have a great Friday night and a wonderful weekend!  Thanks for stopping by today!

  4. Neat card! And your Christmas in July is a great idea. Somehow we have no plans on Saturday and Sunday is the end of the season father/son baseball game and picnic.

    Happy weekend!

  7. It sounds like everyone had a fabulous evening planned with the baseball game and the Christmas in July! How fun to do something special with each of the girls on the same night! They both are such cool ideas!

I kind of like the texture of the stamp on the card, I'd be really interested to see how it looks on textured paper.
