Finished journal.

Happy Friday!!  I'm excited to share with you today my "fix" for my mess up on my gratitude journal.  I posted about this on Monday.  Well Mary Pat suggested I make a pocket to store the loose pages in and I loved that idea.  Then one day this week I was driving home from work, and you guys know I always come up with great ideas when I'm on my way home :)  It dawned on me that I could cover the pages with patterned paper and on the back side, re-stamp the gratitude information on the lower portion of the card.  Then I could punch a hole through the tops of the cards, like I'd planned and string my ribbon through.  Sometimes it's the simplest of solutions, isn't it?

Here's the front of the journal.

A shot of the newly stamped page, with the title and journaling lines placed lower.

This is the back of the page from the previous shot.  Just patterned paper adhered to the kraft cardstock.

Finally, here's a look at the journal from the side.

Just a fun little momento of what I'm most grateful for right now.  This little project was a lot of fun to work on :)  I loved the fun size, 2 3/4x3 3/4.

We're having an all girls weekend.  Mike is heading to Chicago this morning for work so the girls and I have all kinds of fun things planned to keep us occupied.  What's on your to do list?

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you soon.  Have a great Friday and a wonderful weekend!

  8. Great way to fix it...not that it was broken ;)
I think this is such a great idea. You should make them for your girls as well, so they can write down what they are grateful for :)
    Enjoy your girls weekend :)
I'll be working most of my weekend :(
