They're finished!!

Good morning!  I finished up the birthday invitations.  Woot woot!!  I'm thrilled with how they turned out too :)

These are for my youngest daughter's 5th birthday party.  She was born on the 4th of July.  I had to change the direction I was headed with the invitations, rather quickly, when I realized I was running out of time.  These came together pretty quick.  I was able to buy all the supplies at Michael's for under $10.  That included the premade card bases and envelopes.

I used a Papertrey Ink die to get that main shape and then ran it through the Cuttlebug.  The dots are to mimick stars.  On the back of the piece, I put a strip of scor tape and added sprigs of wire that I cut from one of those decorative picks.  I wanted it to look like the card was exploding!  I had a few different ideas from here but ended up going with a couple stamped circles, layered.  The whole piece is adhered to the card with pop dots.

The invitations have been addressed and are in the mail.  Whew, talk about cutting it close this year.  I'm already on the search of party favors.  Mike actually made a great suggestion that I'm going to check on this week.  It's something that I can get a little crafty with too!  Hope you have a fantastic Tuesday and I'll see you tomorrow!  Thanks for stopping by :)

  3. These turned out great! I love the stars. Sometimes we all need a little help and isn't it nice of Michael's to be there for you? I can't believe how quickly this year is flying by. The 4th of July already???? Yikes. Must be fun for Landry to get fireworks on her birthday every year. :)

  8. Great invites, Becky!! Really sweet and fresh and funky.

Your photos are lovely too. Just a thought - you should have a look for fish-eye correction on whatever photo-editing software you use - it'll resolve the bulgy look to straight lines.
