WOYWW

Morning and happy Wednesday!  It's another wet one here, we're enduring an enormous amount of rain right now, but it's supposed to be beautiful again this weekend!  I'm linking up at JULIA'S BLOG today to share my desk, along with tons of other people!  Go check it out, it's so much fun to see what everyone else is up to!

This is the mess on my desk right now and I have to say, it's really driving me crazy.  I'm feeling a purge and big organization coming on, but I'm not quite sure what direction I'm headed with it.  So, I'm afraid to start.  So, my desk sits like this.  Ugh.  :)  Any suggestions on where to start?  I just feel like I have SO MUCH STUFF!  But I use it all and can't get rid of it either.  Okay, sorry to get off topic there...

What are you working on right now?  Like I said, I'm trying to figure out the best way to re-organize my mess (and that's just a portion of it!)  Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll see you tomorrow with another card!!

  1. hey there, your desk is a bit crazy for you I can tell!! I don't have any advice but all i know is what i would do-- attack it!! hehehehehehe

i have to clean up my desk tonight too. I had to finish a project last night for the store and I didn't have time to clean up before I put the boys to bed.

    good luck!!

  2. My trick is to give all things a "home" a place where they belong so if you are finished using them, you can put them back easily. Papers in the papers file or drawer, scissors with other cutting things in a vase, glass, small jar or whatever and so on :) But then I'm a librarian: organising is in my genes LOL Good luck with your sorting.

  3. My desk is empty....wait, I don't even have a desk anymore! LOL. Nothing happening for me this week. Still trying to figure out how I will work on projects here at my Mom's. Will have to wait until my nephews leave though - they are a whirlwind and wreck everything in their path. Good luck starting the reorganization! :)

  4. That's about what my desk looks like right now....except worse. Mine has been like that for a while now, yikes!

I hear you, I have trouble purging things. When I decided to purge I started with my scrap paper. I got rid of all the little tiny pieces and kept only what was relistically usable....I stopped there though I haven't had the guts to purge anything else. lol.

  6. Your desk looks like my desk! Mine was so bad I moved onto the floor! I need a big re organization too, but with so little space for it, I haven't done a thing. It may all just sit messy until its time to pack up and move again (in 10 months...that might be a little too long for a just sit and wait!)

  11. I have a totally messy desk too,and am in the same dilema, don't know where to start. I have paper in 4 different places and the only ones that are organized are the seasonal ones. UGH!

  13. I find the best way is to take everything off and put it back on, if I need it, if not store it away! Trouble is I know need to do that with a whole room not just a desk! Thanks for sharing this WOYWW, It's Thursday and I'm still snooping through the list! Take care Zo xx 22

  14. Oh you now what, just clear off the table top and is it becomes clear, so you'll feel better. Then you can re-visit the need to purge and clean!! You're scaring me!

  15. I decided to give some of my stash that I bought when I first started out and no longer use, to charity. Trouble is I just went out and bought more and filled up the empty space again, so I guess I am pretty useless at advice. I do find clear A4 size plastic boxes work well and you can see what's in them. Regards, Anne #66

  16. I'm still making my way 'round ... I'm not sure where you live, but if you were close by, I would love to come over and help you. I'm somewhat sick in the head like that; I not only love to be organized, I especially love getting other people organized! Don't hate me. I think it helps to first have a place to put the things you are putting away. And the mess gets bigger before it gets better, but just moving it to a new pile never worked for me. All the best with it! Have a great weekend!
