Project Life Week 1 and 2...

Minus the pictures :)  So does that count as being caught up?  My plan is to print my pictures off at the end of the month and work on the journaling throughout the weeks of the month.  Does that make sense?  So the spreads I'm going to show you are done, minus the photos.

This is week one.  I'm doing one 12x12 page for one week.  Since I'm not doing a picture a day, I don't have enough pictures to fill up two 12x12 pages.  The only problem is, I have a lot of stories and notes for each week I want to tell and I'm going to have to figure that out :)

I put this 8 1/2 x 11 insert between the two 12x12 pages.  On the front side is Abie's grade card on the back side is this family portrait Landry made :)

Here's week two.  I like how I moved the title card down to the lower right hand corner, but I would like to get a bit more scrappy with my title cards.  I need to figure that out...  All in due time.  Right now I'm just trying to get the general feel of this project.

Now at the end of the month, I'll get my prints made and slip then in to the designated pockets.  My hope is that I'll get a little photo printer for my birthday and then I can print as I go.  (ARE YOU READING THIS MIKE????)  Haha!  He doesn't ready my blog...

What do you have going on this weekend?  Abie has her first volleyball game tomorrow morning and then mom and I are going dress shopping, really excited about that!!!  We're getting together with some friends at some point this weekend, really excited about that too :)

Hope you have a fab Friday and a lovely weekend!  Thanks for stopping by today and I'll see you soon!

  2. Such cute pages! I love the idea of Project Life and it is fun to see how people do them differently. We are expecting yucky weather this weekend so maybe I will get in some crafting! Have a great weekend! Good Luck To Abie!!

  3. I love the pages! I think that is a great way to do it, that way you aren't running to the store for the prints all the time! Maybe Mike will read your blog today, but AJ doesn't read my blog either, so I totally get how dropping hints here doesn't work...

  8. Yeah! How good does it feel to have two weeks done???? Love how it's turning out already. The insert with the artwork is awesome. The perfect place to keep a few things as life goes along. I print my photos about once every 3 months and do exactly the same thing. Keep up with the journaling and use sticky notes! :) This year I'm keeping track in a journal too so that as things happen I can jot it down and mark where I think it will go. I hope to finish 2011 this weekend! :)

  9. Thank you for sharing how you are doing this project :)
This is perfect, you are more or less completed except slipping the photos in when you get them....word of advice....Don't get to behind, lol.
Because I don't (didn't) have the kit I have been doing my differently.
I wish I could be more freeing and add all the extras to mine. But for one thing my album isn't big enough.

  10. I love this way you chose to do your project life! I am collecting ideas as I want to try it next year. Your method seems to suit getting photos printed when it suits your schedule.

  11. I love the project life albums and the simplicity of it...currently I'm not doing the pic a day either, but if I can get caught up this year, I might attempt it next year!

btw, Olive Garden was really yummy!! :D

  13. Loving how you organize your ideas of which pic goes where and that you are using your handwriting. I don't like my handwriting so I hardly use it in my albums. Can't wait to see more pages...
