Tuesday Trigger

I know, it's Thursday.  I haven't lost it...yet :)  I've been watching the Tuesday Trigger pictures over on the MOXIE FAB blog lately and I finally had one that struck my fancy!

Check out that Pyrex!  Pretty cool right, totally makes you want to get crafty huh?

Here's my card:

I went a little crazy with the warm colors on this one.  Thoughts of summer are creeping in on me I guess.  I have a friend who just ran her first 5K on Sunday and I made this card for her :)

In other news, we had a bit of crazy weather here AGAIN, in Missouri.  Mike came to meet me for lunch and as we're sitting at the restaurant, the tornado sirens go off!  We had just finished eating and knew there was no shelter there so we decided to make our way back through downtown and to my office, where we knew there was a safe place to go.  We made it back to the office and waited out the storm there, with my co-workers, until 12:45 PM.  Later we found out the storm produced four tornadoes in our area and some significant damage in Sedalia, MO, a town about an hour and a half east of us.  Abie and Landry both took shelter at their schools and it was definitely the talk at the dinner table!  I'm hoping for some calm weather now.  Let's hope this is it.

Also, we took Abie to the doctor yesterday and while her arm is healing well, she still needs to wear her splint for at least two more weeks.  I think she was pretty disappointed, but she kept her chin up.  We're hopeful that she'll get to take it off at the next appointment!

Thanks for sticking with me today!  I hope you're having calm, beautiful weather where you are.  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!

  1. becky,
your card is so beautiful -- I love the big scallops--just perfect!

so glad you all are safe and sound --my thoughts and prayers are with everyone in missouri. I know we had bad storms and the sirens went off last night but thankfully it was just a really bad storm.

  2. Oh, I love that color prompt and your card is awesome. The scallops and polka dots are fun and scream summer! :) We are finally in for some calm weather but it was a rough night. Heavy rain and thunder and lightning all night. I kept waking myself up to make sure I'd hear the tornado sirens but it was just winds, no tornadoes. I sure need coffee this AM! Glad you guys are safe. Mother Nature needs to give us a break!

  11. First I have to say how pretty your card is. I love the embossing along the scallop edge.
Second, OMG. I would go crazy not being able to be near my girls during a time like this. so scary.
But I am sure the girls were excited to share their day with you.
