A new week :)

Good morning there friends!  It's a new week, a fresh start and after the trials last week I'm ready for it!  I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and that you're all in for fabulous Monday as well!

My post today is a little something I made for my mom for Mother's Day.  Believe it or not my mom is one of the hardest people to buy for.  Now I know that whatever I do get her she will be grateful for, just because it's from one of her daughters, but I still want it to be thoughtful.  My mom is funny, smart, she has great style, a good cook, she loves like no other and she has one of the most beautiful smiles EVER!

When thinking of what to get her for Mother's Day, it all just sort of fell into place.  I had seen this really cool mini picture frame re-done in a magazine a few months ago and then TRACY posted this mini album with this frame on it and told me she picked it up at Michael's.  (that's when the falling into place happened)  I ran by Michael's and bought the frame, but it was black which didn't fit with my crafty vision AT ALL.  So I turned a black frame in to this...

I painted the frame ivory and sprayed it with Coffee Glimmer Mist.  Then I took the glass out and stamped on some ledger paper and added a few pearls to it.  On the outside of the frame, I added a bit of vintage trim, some leaves and my attempt at a rosette :)  I also adhered a bow at the top of the frame for her to hang it.

Well, I am looking forward to a day off of work.  I'm taking mom to lunch and am hoping for some crafting time this afternoon!  I hope you have a great day!  Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll chat with you tomorrow!
