Heart Boxes

A snowy good morning to ya!  The meteorologists got it right, we got all the snow they predicted and it was beautiful.  It snowed all day long yesterday, great big fluffy flakes that make everything silent.  You know the kind of snow I'm talking about?  :)

Today I have a quick little valentine project for you.  This is what Abie will be handing out to her class...
I picked up these heart shaped boxes at the Dollar Tree.  They came three in a package for $1.
Then I cut out 23 hearts on my Cricut and stamped the images and sentiments from PTI's Tiny Treats Valentine.  I added a little sparkle with some Stickles.  I think these images would have turned out better if I would have stamped them on non textured cardstock.  Wouldn't you know it, after I got done stamping, I look up at my paper and I see a whole package of RED NON TEXTURED CARDSTOCK, just sitting there screaming to be used.  Ack!
On the inside I stuffed a little crinkle paper and there's just enough room left over for a few pieces of chocolate!  Now, these little hearts are a project that didn't turn out anywhere near what I imagined... not even close :(  But, Abie loves them, and I'm sure her friends will too!

Before I leave you for today, I have a great story to share with you.  Yesterday, I heard the sound of shoveling and looked out to see my neighbors, Bryan and Leah, shoveling our driveway!  I went out to help them and they said another neighbor had been out earlier shoveling driveways!  Isn't that nice?  I don't know if I've told you guys this before but we seriously have THE BEST neighbors ever!

Alright folks, that's it for today!  Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!

  1. Very cute Valentine's project! Today is our day for snow, but not 10". Our neighbors are very helpful about clearing snow, too.

  9. That's a fun little project. The kids are going to love them! You are lucky with great neighbors. Some unidentified person dumped a Christmas tree in my yard. :( Ugh. I'm allergic to them so I never get a real tree. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of it. Consider yourself very lucky! We've got snow too but the good thing about snow in the south is that it will all melt soon.

I miss making cute little gifts for the girls class's.
Hubby and the neighbour love to play with their snowblowers. The other neighbours think they are being kind... but really its just an excuse to play, lol.
