Burlap note holder.

So I'm making a rare Saturday appearance here :)  I wanted to link up HERE and share this fun project I've been working on!!

Several weeks ago I saw this adorable wooden burlap plaque at Hobby Lobby and I thought to myself, uh you could SO make that.  I was headed to Walmart after that I found all the supplies I needed for just a few dollars!

Plain wooden picture frame $2
Package of burlap sheets $3 (didn't even know these existed!)
Bull clips $2
Acrylic paint (already had on hand)
Sand paper (already had on hand)

I painted my frame with two coats of acrylic paint and then trimmed a piece of the burlap, slightly larger than the opening of the hole on the frame.  I used double sided tape to adhere the burlap to the frame.

Then I lightly sanded the edges of the frame and the edges of the burlap too, for a bit of a distressed look.

My husband spray painted my clip black for me and I hot glued it to the top of the frame! Done!

Here's a peek with a little note clipped to to it :)

I love when I see an item in the store and I can whip it up myself at home!!  Hope you have a fab weekend!

Love the distressed look to this and the black painted bull clip is a perfect touch :)
"I can make that" should be a logo on our blogs, lol. I always say this as well.
