Valentine Snack Mix.

Happy Monday my lovelies :)  I hope you had the most beautiful of weekends.  We spent Saturday  running errands in the morning and then having a wonderful little visit from my parents.  I just love them.  While I picked up the house and worked on laundry in the afternoon, the girls worked their fingers to the bone on their ever important Valentine boxes.  Sunday was spent at Abie's volleyball tournament.  The team didn't fare so well this time around, it just goes that way sometimes.  Afterwards, we took Abie and Landry out to dinner and spent the evening at home, relaxing, watching the Grammy's ;)

Today I'm working on this...

Valentine snack mix for Landry's class party on Thursday.  I got the idea from one of the other room Mom's which led me to Pinterest which led me to my own recipe.  I included:  mini pretzels, strawberry frosted mini shredded wheat, frosted cheerios, Valentine M&M's, Valentine candy corn, dried cranberries and strawberry wafer cookies cut into triangles.  I mixed all of this up in a plastic grocery sack and then scooped it out with a 3/4 cup measuring scoop into these cute snack bags (provided by one of the other room moms).  Isn't this the most fun, festive snack mix?  I just love how it turned out!  Oh, and you should smell it!  It smells delicious!

Do you make fun treats like this for you kids parties or to eat around the house?  I'm already thinking about what other holidays I could make a fun snack mix for :)  Thanks for stopping by today and I'm hoping to post the girls Valentine's tomorrow!  Until then, have a fantastic Monday!!

  1. ok these are just adorable. I wanted to make something like this for jack's basketball team and for his school party this week but his school has a VERY strict no food or candy rule-- kind of a bummer but i made for them valentine's day cupcakes and cookies this weekend- they loved that!!

  9. These look so lovely and sweet! We don't get enough themed candy here, so it would be harder to put this together. But I might try! x

  10. These look yummy! My kids are older now so I don't make goodies anymore...they grow way too fast, enjoy this time as it'll be over before you know it.

  11. Those are so cute!
Neither of my kid's are having "class parties" this year!
Evan is in 5th grade so no big deal. And they are exchanging cards and having a snack.
But Erin's class isn't having a party either. Just a snack and exchange. Which I am sure is enough, but I am used to parties in kdg.

  12. Love the treat bags. We do make this kind of stuff sometimes (my dd has nut allergies so we don't usually find "safe" snack mixes).
