Hostess Gift

Hello!!!  Did you miss me?  ;)  hahahahaha!  I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, if you're here in the US, if not, I hope you had a fab weekend.  The girls and I got the tree up, my sister and I did some shopping, Mike strung up the outdoor lights, we did some more shopping and we had some much needed time together, with our family.  It was wonderful.  I'm sad it's' over, but we are definitely looking forward to Christmas!

I always like to take a little something over to my sister's house on Thanksgiving to say thank you, for her hospitality.  This year I picked up a candle at Target that smelled yummy but had a not so yummy label on the front.  What's a crafter to do?  Alter it, of course!!

I trimmed a small piece of music cardstock for the front, to cover the label and then added a couple of my precious Michael's leaves.  I'm kind of glad fall is over because I sure didn't want to run out of those leaves!!  Ha!  Then I added that awesome felt Basic Grey flower :)

To finish off the top, I used some scor tape and adhered some fun fall colored polka dot ribbon, just so the lid wouldn't look quite so plain.  What I love about this project is that if you change the embellishments, and colors, you can have a perfect hostess give for any holiday!!

Are you ready for the Christmas holidays?  Our decorations are all up now, but we still have quite a bit of shopping to do.  The problem is, it's for people that are hard to buy for and we're not sure what to get them yet :)

Thanks for stopping in today and have a beautiful Monday!!  I'll see you tomorrow friends :)

  2. Aw, I'd love a hostess gift like that! Love the paper touches. :) Sounds like you had a great week! I will be working on my tree and decorating this week. I had too much going on over the weekend. But luckily there are a few more days of November so I don't feel behind! :)

  5. What a fun hostess gift!

It sounds like you had a great weekend! We put up our tree too. But no outdoor lights - we live on the 10th floor, so that would be hard/super dangerous!
