Card Fronts

Thursday, seriously.  This week has just flown by here.  We have had an activity every night this week and tonight was going to be our first night at home, but then we got word that Abie was chosen to give a presentation at the School Board meeting tonight!!!  I can't think of a better way to spend the night.  So proud of her.  She's having an amazing year, her last year in grade school.

Yesterday I mentioned that I was working on some card fronts.  It's just a piece of card stock, cut to the size of a card, I made mine 4" by 5 1/4", that you decorate.  When you're ready to mail or give the card, you adhere it to your card base.  The card fronts are easier to store and some people like to do card fronts in exchanges with other people.

This was my first time "doing" card fronts and I really kind of liked it.  It was definitely easier dealing with the ribbon tying, that's for sure!

I had some leftover kraft cardstock that I trimmed downed and I adhered a scrap piece of graph paper to it.  Then I trimmed out a couple of Hero Arts/Basic Grey stamped flowers in some fun colors and popped them up with some foam dots.

My favorite part about this card is this FUN glitter.  I picked it up at Hobby Lobby last week and I just love it!  I put down a piece of sticky tape and sprinkled on this coarse glitter.  Isn't it great??

Thanks for stopping in today.  I'll be back tomorrow with another card front.  Hope you have a wonderful Thursday :)

  4. Congratulations Abie!!! That is awesome!

The card front is awesome. I love the glitter on the bottom! It is fabulous. And the ribbon. I never tie ribbon on cards because it drives me crazy, but on a card front - I could totally do that!
