It's Wednesday so that means I'm linking up over at JULIA'S fabulous blog to share what I'm working on, along with hundreds of other crafters.
I've been in a bit of a rut lately. Not sure it it's the weather, or the fact that we've been lazy because it's summer, or if it's just that I'm lazy, but I haven't been crafting a whole lot. Only when I need a card or a tag, and of course keeping up with my Project Life. Well on Tuesday I decided I would check out some of the old challenges that I use to participate in, almost weekly.
I found a couple that A) I really like and B) I hadn't missed the deadline on yet :) So that's what is on my desk right now. A rut buster.
Lots of die cutting, a little bit of stamping and all it all started from a color challenge! I'll have the finished card posted tomorrow. What do you do to bust out of your rut?
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm thrilled it's already Wednesday and really hope we get the rain they're calling for tonight. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteI have been the same this summer...I know how you feel! I can't wait to see your finished project!
ReplyDeleteI just think it's harder to create in the summer with so much going on. Plus it has been so hot!
ReplyDeleteChallenges are good rut busters for me.
Oh and sketches! :)
I will check in tomorrow to see your project.
Rut buster - I like that! Also good to see a Cuttlebug getting used. I love mine.
ReplyDeleteI want a machine! Any machine, a machine that cuts shapes...LOL #109
ReplyDeleteI always love challenges! it does spark that creativity when needed. looking forward to your card.. #130
ReplyDeleteChallenges are just the perfect rut buster!!! Have a great week... Trish #10
ReplyDeleteThat is a great rut buster! I can't wait to see what you make!
ReplyDeleteI'm in a bit of a rut too...I think because I have so much cleaning/laundry that needs to be done from being home that I just feel too overwhelmed to start anything. So I'm going to do my laundry tomorrow, that should bust me out of my rut!
When i get in a rut, i organize a drawer...it reminds me of what I have in stock and then i seem to get a wee bit inspired.
ReplyDeleteThen I open up Feline Playful and read the challenges. That really helps.
When all else fails...I just make a tag or an embellishment. That is quick and easy, no deadline to use and is a wee bit of fun.
LOL, a rut buster, love that :)
ReplyDeleteDon't think I will be creating this weekend, busy family filled one here :)
Thats a good term for it 'rut buster' makes me laugh. I do hope you get out of yours, try blog hopping and magazines it always helps me. If that don't work, splash some paint on a canvas and hit it with anything you like, make a mess. Goodluck.
