Yesterday I posted about a card I made using balsa wood. Today I wanted to show you, a little more in depth, how I did that.
This is the balsa wood I bought. I picked it up at Michael's for a couple of dollars in the wood aisle. They had several different types and I just sort of picked one at random.
I just used my Tim Holtz scissors to trim the wood and it worked perfectly!!
I used Momento ink a red rubber stamp.
Here's the finished, stamped piece of wood!
I have visions of misted wood, distressed wood, strips of wood. All kinds of ideas.
So, do you have big plans for Father's Day weekend? Mike's work picnic is on Saturday and we're going to take it easy on Sunday. I'm hoping to get some crafty time at some point.

ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! I hope you have a great time at Mike's picnic and on Father's Day! We don't have too many plans, just book club on Saturday, which really means just hanging out with the girls and eating desserts!

Yes I did remember my paper trimmer, but it still didn't go so smoothly, lol.
