Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

Morning all! Today I'm participating in the May Papertrey Blog Hop.  Another first for me this week!  The May challenge was to create a card using flowers.  Now that doesn't sound too difficult does it?  Wrong :)  Haha.  It was almost too simple of a task.  Does that make sense?

Here's my flower card:

Paper:  Kraft, Aqua Mist and Hibiscus Burst cardstock
Ink:  Aqua Mist and Hibiscus Burst
Stamps:  Tag Its #1, Life
Other: Papertrey Ink Spiral Notebook Page Die, EK Success Embossed Curve Punch, vintage trim from LSS, brown paper sack from Michaels and mini clothes pin from Joann's

I had so much fun making this card!  It really came together the way I pictured.  I just always forget how BRIGHT that Hibiscus Burst is!  :)

I don't know if you've heard about the tornado that hit Joplin, MO on Sunday.  Joplin is about 150 south of where we live in Missouri.  I'm keeping everyone in my thoughts right now and am grateful for everyone from Kansas City who has gone down there to help.  It always amazes me when something like this happens, how a community can pull together to help.

I hope you have a fabulous Wednesday!  Thank you so much for stopping by and I'll see you tomorrow!

  2. Nice card! It does always seem that the simplest things always end up being the most difficult.

  3. Love the flowers on that bag! Is that a stamp or rub-on?

And we are here in St. Louis. This weather has been so scary and seeing what happened in Joplin made me realize how truly lucky we were went that tornado hit us a little while ago.
