Skinny little notebook!

So tough to get up and get going today after my three day weekend.  Even though I'm not looking forward to the winter weather, I AM looking forward to all the winter holidays and time at home!  We had a great weekend.  Saturday was a busy day, we had a pre-Halloween get together with our neighbors and then we had the postponed Halloween party from last weekend.  Sunday was a fairly relaxed day.  I was able to get a lot done in my craft room, lots of fun stuff to share this week!  We're in for some cooler weather here this week, I'm hoping to spend some more time down there!

Up for today, I have a notebook that I made for Abie's teacher.  I saw these a long time ago here and just fell in love with them.  I've wanted to make them ever since.  In her earlier blog posts, she talks about how she buys the 5x7 notebooks from Staples and had them cut them in half, lengthwise.  However, you can now purchase notebooks from Papertrey.  I just bought mine from Office Depot and had them cut mine.  They charged my $.75.
Here's a picture of the finished notebook.  The cardstock wraps from the back to the front, sort of like a mini spiral notebook.
Here's the notebook all wrapped up.  I used a cellophane goodie bag and tied it up with some satin ribbon.
I topped the whole thing off with a little tag and some twine.

This notebook came together really easy, I need to make one for my purse now. I used Core'dinations cardstock and sanded the edges because I figure it's going to get pretty scuffed up in a purse, that way maybe it won't show it's age so much!

Well, I hope you all have a great Monday!  Thanks for stopping by!
